To tell the truth, the terrorists are the foot soldiers of the imperialists. Terror grows with foreign military presence. Not just a coincidence at least in the case of French bases. There is an abundance of evidence to support it. Ask the government of Mali!!

The purpose of these neo colonialist foreign troops on African soil is not to fight the jihadists whom they created, but to ensure a coup is carried out if any African leader went against the interest of the neo colonialists. France nd America had military bases in Niger for over 20 years yet these terrorists grew in size within this period nd almost took over the entire country.

The reason why President Yoweri Museveni refused to sign such agreement with USA in Uganda is because of such blanket immunity to US soldiers. Nigeria should watch out. Can a foreign country ask to put their military on American soil. African nations are ridding themselves of subversive foreign presence in their sovereign nations because it comes with dire liabilities. This is not the first time that the French and Americans asked to have military bases in Nigeria, each time, the requests have been rejected. We need to concentrate on our internal issues instead of inviting more problems.

Religion is killing us in Africa and am one of them who doesnt worship yeye god who is not the Creator as we were lied to. There are Nigerians at home who have this mind set. Retracing our steps to the past of our ancestors is the only way out. I certainly dont mean, that the people in the Diaspora are better than those at home. But our people at home are still under the oyinbo spell. Our ancestors built the greatest civilizations worldwide without yeye god or Jesus or Allah. I live in the country that is mainly behind our destruction as a people. For example, if I were to ask any of you, who colonized us, you will all say, England, false ! Today's Nigeria is NOT the Nigeria I used to know in the mid 70's when Nigeria was really the Giant of Africa. In those years, when Nigeria spoke, France, Britain, and America trembled. Nigeria fought diplomatically for the decolonization of Africa and the end of apartheid in southern Africa, thus earning the position of a "Frontline State" even though located in West Africa. Those were the glorious years of Nigeria's foreign policy.

But that's actually how the US and the West play. The hegemons will do everything to bring down and destabilize any potential to expose their exploitation and neoclonial activities. Besides, it's not just for sovereignty but the often ignored role of those military bases ensuring the hegemons' companies stealing our resources unchecked. So, in that respect Nigeria actually deserves credit for even surviving thus far. The only safety for any African country is in the unity of a big part of, or the Africa as a whole.
