DeMo has been proved to be a disaster for Indian economy because of the large share of unorganized sector in India and large population depends on it and our economy is based on cash largely and it is small workers and farmers who are part of it. It has fulfilled no objectives set out by Modi on 8th November 2016 rather It has resulted in economic growth going so down, large number of job loss, businesses shutting down, demand going down, 100+ deaths in those long queues and so much more. No black money has been recovered and whatever they say has been recovered is DUBIOUS money and not black money and it will take years after litigation and all to bifurcate that money into black and legitimate money. On the other hand DeMo has led to conversion of black to white by using liquor shops, petrol pumps, corrupt bank managers, gold and what not. The amount of counterfeit currency in Indian economy was around 400 crore which is so low that DeMo is like installing a nuclear power plant to power a bulb + counterfeit currency is again prevalent in new notes too. It was ill thought and poorly implemented step.

i just love it when karan sir throws a fact out there in interview. He sure works a lot for a single line. Hats off....

For first time I m not liking Karan Thapar interview. Earlier he used to question both Ruling and Opposition party effectively. Now here in this interview he is giving all answers guest must give in his question itself. .Never testing their knowledge or even have questions from both sides . .Be it Kapil Sibal or Jethmalani or Modi(During Congress Rule). .Irrespective of whom he was interviewing his questions used to be un-biased attacking them directly etc. .Now I think he has formed a opinion that demonetization is bad and leading his interview towards that(I also believe Demonetization is not so successfully executed per se). Ndtv has divided its team into three parts now- ndtv, quint and the wire. my view is that Demonetisation was good idea with bad implementation and bad sequencing. GST is imperfect and can be improved with time..so it is overall good.
