There's a few riffs like this on this album that are definitely heavy but almost happy sounding at the same time.

why with the neck pickup? wondered why it sounds so muffled lol

Oh dang I didn't even catch that. It was all recorded with the bridge pickup, except for the clean parts which I recorded last. I must have forgot to switch it when I made the video but the audio you are hearing is from the bridge pickup for all the non clean parts.

Whole album is a standard on a 7 string

0:34 one of the best riffs I’ve ever heard, so powerful, then ruined by Mickey Mouse zero contrast, zero tone voice. Dude has the same tone for every song, only tells me he doesn’t have vocal control, there’s no emotion all the same screams. And it’s so disappointing cause their production and instrumental sound is so good.

I kinda like his vocals. I could see how they aren't for everyone but after listening to them for a while it's just something that sets them apart from other bands for me.
