There’s a reason no one ever heard her. And sadly, it’s black and white.
What a beauty to listen to her singing and playing the music. Wow.
The begining of the modern electric guitar playing, for certain mother rock&roll but not only, so naturally gifted.
Encouraging style for the love of being human and a woman
Amazing talent. What a voice.
Como não ouví-la em 2024? Ela dominava a equipe, que talento no deixou. Obrigada Sister Rosetta!!

If only people knew who she is! No, Elvis is not the king of rock. The roots of rock go much farther back…and they are black.
What a beautiful voice thank you so much 😊❤
What an absolutely amazing lady 😊
What a great and beautiful voice thank you 😊❤
As gravações estão aí para mostrar quem realmente é a Rainha e de onde saiu o Rock and Roll.
This is the counterpart to Didn't It Rain

Essa mulher é maravilhosa, meu amigo!
That sound. ❤
Sister Rosetta Tharpe should be known as the Godmother of rock and roll- and be enshrined in the R&R Hall of Fame, imo. If anyone is interested, you can check out her earlier work with The Lucky Millinder Orchestra from the 1930s. Absolutely fantastic stuff ❤❤❤

@@marysalmon1592Go for it! Her music deserves to be known. I’ve got bad hands, so I can only play her albums and CDs. You could actually play it for people!
What year was this recorded?
