Unfortunately the group for me lives very far away, and Siren Con is a little far too, at least for me unfortunately. It's not that I probably wouldn't be able to go to one, just right now I probably couldn't. I'd love to someday! When I can afford the gas.... I forgot where they host these, maybe it's not too far away from the state that I live in. Who knows, I just remember going on Google maps and looking up the location where they host these and it showing that although it's up north where I live, it's still a couple states away, at least last time I checked from what I remember, I'll have to check again.

Same here, now that I'm a little more comfortable with meeting up with other enthusiasts.

Now that I think about it, the horns on the Federal Signal Eclipse look like teeny tiny baby gray Thunderbolt horns smashed together. Tell me I'm not the only one seeing it I can't unsee it!! 😂🤣

I think the control panel contactor died... those sirens take a lot of amps when starting... maybe the current was too much for the contactor @@Larochaess

not even the air it’s just the sheer torque combined with turning the heavy chopper made it spin, you see it with most omnidirectional mechanical sirens.

That was a good time. This year's is going to be even better. I can't wait.

The P-10 was by far the loudest one there.

As far as we can tell your P10 does actually work. It's just that Frankie's control cabinet was wired incorrectly so that the start contactor remains closed even when the run contactor is closed is that therefore caused it to start smoking

That's why you have to anchor a siren to the ground, that Screamer could have broke!

8:56 sounds like the tone used for announcements at train stations/airports lol. Is that standard on the alertronic 1600 or a custom tone?

Unfortunately it's a little far from there. Try northern Wisconsin. I'm from north Alabama, and I've gone every year since 2021. It's well worth flying. This year I'm driving the 14 hours

That 2nd Gen SRN though. They put it on 8 RPM(my favorite speed setting for the rotator.

it's probably possible to make a compressed air siren outside of audiable range for the acoustic levitation of a hoverboard? Compressed air is literally the best power storage until we don't need storage atleast Its also possible to compress air using gravity

The test wasnt started and the man just ripped the panel off

I am looking for audio to a particular type of fire siren/whistle that was used in my village where I grew up. It was NOT a siren that would wail as it was spinning up or down like the modern ones today. It was like a blast of air? it would sound hi tone low tone in a series in numbers to indicate fire, school closings and delays. Example school closing: blast once hi then low pause hi then low pause hi then low over 20-30 seconds total. For fire it would blast according to which part to town the fire was in. I know this sounds confusing but, someone else out there knows what I mean. Possibly controlled by air blown across reeds? It was a real clean horn sound, not raspy like these screamers. from what I remember it was shaped like flying saucers on top of one another x3. It was in use from the early 50's on through the 80's as long as I can remember it. any leads or help about it is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
