Thank you for presenting this interview, the Bristol Aeroplane Company and Sir George's family have left a superb engineering legacy in Bristol and reassuring to hear a more detailed history of Frazier Nash and BMW. My rather old LWB Defender gets me from A to B, if I wanted beautiful and understated style then a Bristol Car comes close to perfection. I did pass the Tony Crook test many years ago, we both knew I couldn't afford a Car but he took me out for a spin around Hyde Park. That sort of long term relationship may even tempt me away from a Jensen FF, possibly. Thank you again and especially to Sir George.

I always thought Bristol took over Armstrong not the other way around. That was an interesting revelation. And RR bought Bristol-Armstrong to get hold of the axial flow jet engine because couldn't build an engine like the Olympus!!

Anyone know 'Gill' or 'Gilbert'? Married to 'Val' (saunders-weir valve). He worked with 'Geoff', later married 'Bunny' of the Dunhill family? Olympus and Pegasus engines, concorde intake i think too.
