His reaction to Nani's strike against Chelsea kinda sums up Nani's career - could be insanely brilliant at times, you wondered why he was so mediocre others.

I never understood it. He’s not Ronaldo but we didn’t buy some kind of cheap knock off, on his day, Nani was damn near unplayable. Consistency though is what defines really good with brilliance, unfortunately.

Nani was innately more talented than anyone else in the club that time. But he was not given the kind of opportunities Ronaldo had. Ronaldo's first two seasons were inconsistent but SAF gave him regular playing time. Nani made one mistake and gone the next game. Also if anyone remembers how much bashing Nani gets at that time for any mistakes, while Rooney can consistently lose possession the whole game and still play 90minutes.

@@salemsalah4417 if you were irish then VAR wouldn't have gifted them the first game victory in play-off to reach euros also against estonia, but assistant referee robbie keane's word in victor kassai's ear was ringing 24/7. the fact is that decisions can go for you or against you, but it removes a lot of passion from the game which is sad.
