It's crazy how this was four years ago. I woke up due to the wind and hail, and i saw we were in a tornado warning. But I never heard a single tornado siren, so I never went to wake up my family like I would have. Thank the Lord, it wasn't worse.

In 2014 a funnel cloud was confirmed in Sioux Falls, but it didn't touch down. A tornado warning was still issued though.

I am from MN but happened to be in Sioux Falls for a work conference. It was very confusing and scary because I had difficulty figuring out where the tornadoes were compared to where I was, and I heard from no one in the hotel as far as seeking shelter. I didn't want to look panicked, so I stayed on the phone with my husband, then later my dad trying to keep calm.

You know, KELO, one of these days you should ask the FCC if you can legally change your callsign to KELOLAND.

No sirens , the city chose not to sound them , we almost died in our home

You are actually delusional if you think they chose not to sound off the sirens. They tried, but there was a glitch in the sirens that prevented them from going off.

How do ppl im country survive without sirens? Get a weather radio take responsibility.

They're called outdoor warning sirens for a reason. TVs, phones, radios (especially weather radios) all give out plenty of warning. They sounded ours in Crooks, but I had to go outside to hear it. Too much wind and other noise to hear it from inside. Don't rely on the outdoor sirens to alert you. If you have a smartphone and it has battery, it's gonna tell you no matter what. If you have cable TV, it's gonna tell you. If you are watching something on CBS, NBC, ABC, etc., you're going to be watching the weather report instead. But the smartest thing is to have a weather radio somewhere. That shit will wake you up from sleeping. You just need one.
