ive got one thats probably from the early to mid 80s, and it has the quick chuck. very nice machine.

Thanks for video! I have a Sioux 655 valve grinder, it needs the valve stem chamfer fixture. I did not see you chamfer the valve stem. This step is very important as the chamfer is what centers the valve in the chucks v grooved depth gauge…ps. On the Sioux chamfering fixture is held by clamping on the right side of the machine.

in my opinion it's the best valve grinder made. I have ground many valves using one in an earlier time. And yes the little lever on the right is for a diamond nub to dress your facing stone. The quick chuck was real nice addition, especially when you were grinding... oh say... 10 sets of valves at a wack. My boss used a light cutting oil in the lube pump system. I don't remember having a chamfering attachment anywhere. For chamfering the stem we simply spun the valve stem on the outside radius of the facing stone by hand.

The right side of the machine is in fact for a rocker arm attachment, as well!

It’s a shame it is rusty and was not taken care of properly Mine looks new because Dad taught me to use it at 12 😊

watch marketplace, CL and local auctions. They can be had for cheap.

Seems that a lot of them are not used anymore and sale cheap Every small engine shop can have one at the low price now

I got a black and decker with the seat grinding setup for 50 bucks. nobody knows what they are anymore.
