That whole thing is actually historically accurate. The torpedo scene is surprisingly well done Also I still don't know how the throwing of the ladder from the destroyer/cruiser to the carrier was made, that was a pretty good shot Also the various lines from various movies were pretty funny

Actually, Yorktown (CV 5) was sunk on June, 8th, 1942, as was USS Hamman, both were sunk by a Japanese submarine.

This is good, and pretty accurate to what happened, She sustained heavy damage from multiple Japanese Air Attacks from Bombs and Torpedoes but unfortunately didn’t survive, despite attempts at salvaging her. Most her Air-Wing, which was away at the time for battle ended up landing on her sister ship, the USS Enterprise CV-6, Following Yorktown’s abandonment. Also … I noticed the hull had the number “6” instead of “5” on the Flight-deck, the numbers on the bow are usually their registration numbers, Yorktown’s being CV-5, while CV-6 belonged to the Enterprise. I’m guessing that was a small error?

USS Hamman, the ship sunk alongside Yorktown, was a destroyer, much smaller than the ship shown here (which looks like a cruiser). I may be mistaken but I’m pretty sure the torpedoes tore her in half. Regardless, great work

I used the HMS Belfast as a stand in for the Hamman. I didn’t want to break the ship in half so I just had her capsize.

I did that as this is supposed to take place after the Battle of Midway, when Yorktown had been hit by torpedos and bombs. She was already listing in real life, before the American's attempted to rescue her.
