From the series of Tribes of India presenting Singpho Tribe, the Singpho of India live in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and also in Meghalaya where there are a small number of Christians. Singpho people practices shifting cultivation (Jhum) like any hill people however it is not regularly practiced, because they are more involved in practicing the plantation of tea.

i congratulate prasar bharti for this amazing discovery. Im currently studying in NID jorhat, i would like to say one thing that I felt. im feeling sorry for the singpho tribe how there belief , deity and practices are being portrayed as dark aspect and referred to as black magic black magic again and again, while it has not brought bad or barrier for development to the community itself. i felt the tribal sentiments are being displayed and tagged as wrong, uncivilised and evil. which is hypocrasy. at minutes 20:04, it really felt like that media tried to glorify tribal migration while they are forgetting their culture by all the slow- mos and grand bgmusic.
