Man my heart goes out to the guy with the 14 hour shift. I know what it’s like when you’re about to have a bad day or week. That dread that comes the night before knowing it’s about to hit. Having support like his wife makes all the difference.

Regarding the friendzone chick this is fantastic timing. I literally just talked to a friend about this 2 days ago. She isn't really a "friend" as much as a friend I know through my last job. We worked together for years and would chat etc. She hired me to do some work around her house and while I was painting the bathroom we were chatting and she said that it seems all the good men were either taken or gay and asked my opinion on why she is having such a hard time "finding a man". I looked her dead in the face and asked her if she REALLY wanted to know and she said she absolutely did. I told her straight up that if she truly wanted to find a good man that wanted to be with HER then she has to stop looking in all the same places and start looking in her friendzone because that is the ONLY place she will find a guy who likes her for her and that she will like back. A few hours later when I was packing up to leave she told me that she had been thinking about it and that I was totally right and there is this one guy she has been friends with for a couple of years that she could see herself with. Yesterday when I went back to finish up the painting she told me that she called him and asked him out and they have an official date set for this weekend. She said she NEVER would have even thought that a guy she was "friends" with could be someone she would spend her life with but she can see how she was wrong for so long. We might actually have converted one here guys. UPDATE: She called me last night and told he proposed to her on Dec 23. She is incredibly happy and said this is the best present she could have ever hoped for. They are a really good couple and compliment each other very well. So ladies....if you're tired of being alone or wondering where all the good guys are it's time to stop playing the victim card and realize that the right guy might already be right there.

I love that she made this for her man, but she put dressing on a sandwich that will be soggy the next day. Things like that you have to put in a separate container as well as putting the lettuce on the salad with the other stuff it will be so soggy. But then again I'm very particular on how I pack my man's lunch.

When a girl says she "supported and backed" her friend for years she means she scrounged off of him for years, always asking for favors, for help, for loans, for rides, to pay for drinks the way a date should, to fix things, to repair things.... I can throughout my 20s remember not asking a single person for absolutely anything whereas my girl "friends" asked me for any and everything on the planet. She didn't lose a friend. Frankly - women make terrible friends for a man. I had a homegirl from highschool till about 20 years old until I abruptly cut it off after a mind-numbingly foolish argument about me talking to girls at the mall when all of us went to the movies the day before (myself, her and another brother). A week later, she had my own mother call me and ask me if everything was alright smh. She had found my mother's number at the hospital (RN)! It was the culmination of so much needless drama involving her over the years. You WILL become an emotional tampon eventually if you're "friends" with women. Even in the Bible, somewhere in the 42nd chapter of Ecclesiasticus if I recall correctly, God says "sit not in the midst of women" lol.

Yeah my story is somewhat similar lol. I had about 4 close female friends until maybe 22. The amount of effort you have to put in to remain friends with females gets taxing and for me I always ended up as this pseudo boyfriend replacement which is weird when y’all aren’t smashing lol. I actually understand how the girl that lost Mr Friendzone feels on one hand. He ghosted her. That is the most cowardly way to walk away from someone. On the other hand she misses having easy access to him. I'd bet good money that he had beyond friendship feelings for her and got tired of those feelings not being reciprocated. The freindzone is usually not voluntary it's forced. Both men and women alike need to stop allowing themselves to be friend zoned when they have feelings for the person. I am a 48 year old man who has his life in order. I break up with someone within a month or even 2 weeks someone else wants me. Blocking is something for 14 year olds like I said. I met a new woman toward Christmas and we are now a could and we spent New year together and my ex saw the pictures I posted of us and she even sent a message to ask if it is my new woman and ....You just live your life and they see you are actually someone she lost

Being able to be in contact with or in the presence of something, without being tempted by it, or it even eliciting a reaction/response from you, is the ultimate show of strength. A former addict knows he's fully recovered when he can be in the presence of alcohol without feeling even the slightest compulsion to drink or taste. Hence why I never block exes/former flings. I just let them rage and howl into the void, and chuckle indifferently. That hurts them even more, when they know you simply don't care to block or avoid them. The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. Just my 2 cents
