Most are, but not all. As a young dude, I've been in a relationship for almost 3 years now, & I do plan on going long term. If by whatever reason it does not work out, I will be bummed out for a couple weeks, maybe even months. Cause heck, we're human beings. But I won't dwell on it forever, nor will I think to myself, it was a waste of time. But I definitely do believe many "young men" become so distracted with a relationship, they place a majority of their time, onto the other person, without taking time to improve themselves much more, as well. I think it all has to due with the way "young men" handle their time management. As for "no business", if your 'significant other' is on, or near the same path (in terms of life goals). I believe both individuals can help each other out, in terms of: motivation, support, & drive. So nahhh personally, my drive, purpose, and goals have become more diverse & exponential, regardless of whether I am in a state of being: in a relationship, or being single. At the end of the day, the reason why I mainly hustle (my purpose), is to retire my family. Therefore, my work ethic, & drive, will always be stronger than whatever 'distractions'.

Yeah man I went through the exact same thing. I never did anything and I regret it so much. Best thing I did was start calisthenics though. My advice: socialize, a lot. Just talk to anybody really or put yourself in situations where you need to talk to people e. g. skating, hitting that demon back workout at the park, MMA, or a job. Don't go through life completely by yourself trust me. Alone you fall

I feel the same way had to let go of something good to get my shit together I feel as every guy should have a period of lonesomeness to get himself in check and to appreciate life as a individual man. Figure out what you want to for it and relationships and dating will be easy.

Single life is great and i loved it while i had it. If you want to find the one for you its not as hard as you think. Put yourself out there and go through a long friendship then try dating and if that part is hard you can end it right there cause thats how you know the other person isnt into you as much. Dating is when you study a person and see if long term will work once you truly mean to bond with that someone. Then after that there shouldn’t be anything to be unsure about thats the dating stage and now if Everything is smooth and the future seems bright then your good. I am very fortunate to have found someone that give me everything and more cause of my own advice also I haven’t even been in more than one relationship because of it 😎

i think that is not a simple answer for this question. If you have a good relationship , you can improve your life with the fullfilment emotions you live. If you have a bad relationship , you cannot improve your life, because the relationship distracts you and drives you back. If you are single and you are not ok with being single, its also a distructive situation. But if you are a single and you are happy with yourself , you can move mountains. So depends on the situation. Not being single or being in a relationship is good by itself. Its' the emotions behind your current life condition, that makes the difference.

The single life and all that is cool I agree. It’s just hard if you’re someone who wants kids. I’m not with the random baby momma life, so I’d have to be married to have kids. So in other words I have to have a partner. No mistake I’ve more than enjoyed single life and relationships so I’ve seen both sides. Now at 30, I’m perfectly happy and good being single, but having a partner who’s the right fit for me is most ideal, but not a necessity. Patience is key, but don’t settle.

In high school I did not date. College, I dated girls on and off. Only had one girlfriend but I agree first relationships are a learning experience. Just never lucky. Lesson I've learned focus on improving yourself and loving yourself first as an individual. Surely yeah it gets lonely sometimes. But being single gives me a chance to focus on being the best version of myself as I can be. Sometimes as I get older, I feel okay being single. Better to be single and alone then with the wrong girl.

Dated one for near 4 years, at the beginning of the year we split and as unfortunate as it was, I was able to love myself more and not need to focus on anyone else. But she's probably talking to some other dude while playing off that she's single. Her loss if that's the case.
