You have shown so many examples of how to properly set up single stem anchors! I sincerely thank you for such a useful work! I'll be 67 in a few months and just taking my first steps in arboriculture, picking up tree work equipment, learning useful knots, and carefully learning the basics of working at height with the help of the best videos on KZread! Thanks for your great video buddy! 👍❤️🇺🇦

Thank you for the demonstration! Been climbing 3 years. Self taught. Decided to finally start abseiling as a habit. This was what I needed to decide which method was going to work for me. Cheers.

Are you still active with this channel? And I hope so! I've never seen whatever movement that was about a minute in to the video with the over the head backwards flip pendulum weighted rope swing around the trunk of the tree LOL I can name a thousand configurations of what that could be called but it was sexy I know that much

I'm new to the climbing game, so bare with me, i have a question. Currently I'm still using a double rope with blakes hitch but I'm looking to get into SRT and will soon purchase the hitch climber setup. Question... can I or can I not repel down a single rope with just the VT and H.C. pully?? Early in your video you said no you can't as it would would cause too much friction and burn up or stop, but later in the video you show several examples doing just that. I understand a rope wrench would create the additional friction I need but it also adds $130 to the setup. I am on a budget and I'm looking for the cheapest (but still safe) in case of emergency repel system for SRT. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

An alternative option would be to use a munter hitch below your VT for added friction. It is possible to decend on just a hitch but most likely it will get super tight and will get you locked up. Would depend on the rope and hitch combo.

Put some bass in your voice or speak up or turn volume up ,I'm new to all this special climbing gear. I've used a pair of spurs and a rope lanyard and still do ,but do to some recent close calls and being older and not having the arm strength to pull myself up limbs as easy ,I need to learn a simple affordable way to get up in trees

3 minutes 50 seconds we're talking about getting the rope hot because it's single line on a hitch cord and I am the one human being on the planet with the strongest mechanical device in the entire world that has five pending patents on a 16th of an interval measurement from my center point of one mechanical device plus or minus into the mechanical devices of the measurements that I have built upon the same mechanical device Which will never allow anybody to come near The Sweet spot of what a mechanical device needs for single and attachment from a 100 lb climber up to a 320 lb climber and then we will add the gear later and talk about that ratio about how I can interchange the device to coordinate around the desired friction as the weight changes upon the climber
