The Kahr being able to use 1911 mags is super nice since I already have some mags.

Good comparisons between the three. On my Glock 36 mags I installed Pearce grip extensions (the regular extension, not the +1). It doesn't extend the grip length much longer, but it allows more surface area for the pinky finger and feels better/easier controlled when shooting the gun.

I like the Glock the most. 2/3 of US Law Enforcement puts their lives on Glock and that tells me enough. Love my Glock 36 for concealed carry.

I'll take the Kahr over the rest. That Kahr shoots phenomenal compared to the other 3.

Picked up a M&P 2.0 45 shield. It’s nice to shoot 45 just to change things up. Handles recoil well, for me. The grip probably helps. Good trigger even though people complain about it, which I think might just be one of those things people say as a critique, much like they did with finger grooves on Glocks but still were buying them.

The Kahr is a USA company.

I haven't owned the PM45 but I've had a PM9 and K40, the smooth trigger is their best feature. It takes a lot more practice and concentration to be as accurate with a DAO trigger though. I have had the Glock 36 and XDS 45 and I'll have to give the nod to the XDS 45 for smaller size, better sights, better grip and slightly higher quality and finish.

He mentions the Kahr CW45 will take some 1911 magazines, which is true, but the magazine lips might interfere with the slide preventing it going into battery. The problem is the extractor claw in the Kahr's slide sits lower than the claw in a typical 1911. Insert a 1911 magazine and manipulate the slide to check to see if the lip touches the claw. If it does, it will be very obvious as it tries to push the magazine down. The solution is to remove some material off the lip so the claw slips over the lip without contact. Kimber's 7 round magazine fits flush into the CW45's grip but the lips had to be flattened to avoid contacting the claw. There will be enough lip to keep the top round secure in the magazine plus clear the extractor claw.

Another great review. I really appreciate how thorough your reviews are. That said, I have heard several trainers in my area criticize the reliability of the XDS and one even suggested that we not bring an XDS Because it would likely break down at some point during training. I know several people who own the XDS in 9 mm and they seem to be pretty happy with their pistols. I have never owned a XDS (I prefer H&K and Walther’s) so I am uncertain as to their quality. Again, thanks for sharing

I know this review was single stack 45s . Had all three until G30S came out , no turning back to single stack . The g36 was brutal to shoot and so where the other two . In the case of G30S a little snappy but manageable , round count 11 total , plus accuracy and dependable as all glocks are . G30S fits all my Glock holsters no extra expense there . K

The PM 45 or Kahr PM series should've been featured instead. It has many of the same features as the wonderful glock... and yes Kahr is made in the USA..

Love my cm45 so far, I don't buy his opinion on lifetime of the Kahr being likely less than the others 👎😆. Relative just as any firearms it is about care and maintenance. I've no doubt they will live as long as the others.

The Kahr’s trigger action mirrors that of the double action revolver, though with a lighter pull.

I own a Glock 30SF, a Colt Lightweight Officers 45 Enhanced, XD Mod 2 Subcompact 45, and an M&P Shield 45 which I think are superior to these three options. I modified the Colt with an EGW recoil spring assembly and a stronger custom fit Cylinder & Slide barrel bushing for reliability. The others are excellent right out of the box.

I used to have that xds in 45 and the reason i got rid of it was cause of the serrations amd how they hurt when u shot it. I wish i used my brain and got the sleeve for it!?

Glock 36 beats the other two guns they're just too small to Springfield and the other gun it's just too lightweight or soda very expensive for magazines and stuff you cannot beat the Glock 36 Los Angeles police carry them as a backup gun or even off duty gun fantastic 🇦🇹🇺🇸💯👍

Kimber is garbage only made for dudes that stroke their guns instead of shooting. Willing to bet if I blindfolded you and had you shoot my Remington R1S you would fall in love, but you would judge it by brand before even firing it if you weren’t blindfolded. The Remington 1911’s really are as close to the WW2 design as you can get and they are reliable because it. Hearing the Colt and STI being unreliable is sad and I’m sure you just got a lemon or a dremil survivor.

Anybody that says such nonsense is probably trying to run HP or even wadcutters at the range. 1911 is made for hardball, and it works VERY reliably. People buy Glocks because "if it's good enough for police". Well 1911 was good enough for the US military for some odd 75 years.

The big Colt 1911 looks nice but it's just too Heavy for ccw the other 2 guns Khar magazines to much money and springfield not great so Glock is excellent in every way 70 Percent of police carry Glock guns 💯👍

Aren't you glad humans have evolved with five fingers on each hand instead of four like the Simpsons? Because, you are using every one of them in your comparisons to the point of needing six or seven fingers on each hand. Good job.
