I am Mr Khans student as well but the only disadvantage about the SCOB when waiting for M1 refined entries is that sometimes PA leaves without mitigating the M1 refined OB, so I tend to enter on the M15 retest of the SCOB only when valid.

Not always. When market sweeps HTF liquidity there will be no need for IDM LTF before entry
