Melissa knows how to sing all her songs. She just has the best voice, also. Chloe can't stop moving in backup, love her enthusiasm.

The way the lead vocals and keyboard leads blend in throughout the song are 80's gold. This perfromance literally had me tearing up. And I was never really a big fan of the original song. Wow!

Couldn't take my eyes off of Chloe, she was having so much fun with this. Thanks all for a great job.

*WOW !!! Darren MULLAN hits out of the park once again! I know I’ve said it before but Darren is like a MAGNET for attracting Super-Talented musicians and singers! As an example is Chloe singing background on this track! She reminds me of Nikki Kosmider Heuskes! They just add that “WOW” element to a Great performance by Melissa! Darren should hang a sign out front that reads “MOTOWN-SOUTH-AUSTRALIA out front and see who else walks in his basement door!*

Irene Cara was the original singer but this girl sings her style in perfection. Incredible voice range and pitch, brings back the good times -thank you very much. Enjoyed much.

Chole's energy was off the charts! Awesome everyone!

Stefan Hauk is mad talented. Now the drums? Respect … and a sensational collab from everyone.

Shout out to the guy on bass. He is so solid on all of this band’s tunes. They wouldn’t be half as good without him.

I think the prelude exudes how amazing a singer she is. Her richness of tone, expression, phrasing, and musicality. And the rest of the tune demonstrates she has range without coming across as a screamer. The total package.

Never seen an "amateur" signer with such a powerful voice. She's singing like someone who has been touring for the last 20 years. Simply incredible.

When Melissa let it go I was like WOW what a voice.

*WOW !!! Well this was worth waiting for! Usually performers do a real hatched job covering this song. But not this time! This falls into another DARREN MULLAN outstanding recording! OMG! He has a way of bringing new life into an old song that makes it worth listening to! Melissa McCaig does an excellent job on lead vocals! And Chloe adds enough background energy to add to a great video! And Tzan adds his great guitar to this track. And Stefan does a great job by not letting the musicians in the rooms PUSH - THE TEMPO on a dance track! I remember watching this song on the Oscars and it was not something worth watching! Way to go DARREN!!!*

This studio and Singit Live is a sushi train of South Australian musical delicacies. Mel is an extraordinary singer, not just those big notes, but the whole spectrum of her voice, and her delivery. Three backing vocals of that calibre gives such a rich sound. I think Chloe secretly had on a pair of leg warmers! Good to get close up to Guitar Hero Tzan's fretboard work. My God! I'm in tears right now what a Beautiful Powerful Heartfelt rendition!!!! I was on the scene when this song dropped in the early 80s and when I tell you this is by far THE BEST VERSION EVER (and I've heard alot over the last 40 yrs) You guys deserve an award for this... The band was slamming! The background vocals were totally on point and never missed a cue and the lead vocalist!!! What can i say, you are stunning with a voice to match!!! somebody give these guys a deal FRFR!!!!

I've been watching Singit Live videos for some time now. The lifelong musician that I am marvels at the talent on display with every video. I watch each one several times when first viewing to focus on individual members, watching the joy, the excellence, listening and learning. I couldn't help but notice your absolute joy "back there." Filled my heart watching you! Even now, I think, "I need to feel that sensation she's feeling during this, surrounded by that music, feeling the irresistible beat, hearing that lead vocal, then soaring in with the harmony!" And that's just one of many videos I could say the same thing! Yes, Melissa is amazing. Yep, huge fan.

What the hell do they put in the water in Adelaide? 11/10 as always. Can i just call out Damien Steel Scott in the back there playing bass. On every track he's rock solid and just holds the bottom end together. But really, you all rock. Its a highlight of the end of my week. So Stefan singing in a couple of weeks, he will have done everything else :)

This was my most favorite song of 1983 (yes, I keep notes). Irene Cara was the only person that could sing this song...but you guys are pretty damn close. :) Bravo !!!

Just came across this.. Brilliant down to the core....! What a voice...When we in Germany many moons back ,it was a classic & still is today! This is what music to the ears is... Spot on the drums & guitar.....! 🥂
