Singing electric locomotive Siemens-Taurus + bonus The steepest cog railway with a slope of 48%

Siemens ES64U2 is probably one of the most unusual electric locomotives, as during the start this locomotive "plays music". It is, however, only "overkill frets" (specifically -the Dorian scale), but it looks extremely interesting and original.
Such an effective start is achieved by converters in a three-phase electric locomotive engine: a beep is a double clock frequency of pulse inverters, which increases step by step (in whole tones and halftones in two octaves).

+ bonus
Gear railway-a special kind of canvas, different from the usual presence of gear rack (rail). A toothed rail is usually laid in the middle between two conventional rails. Accordingly, the rolling stock of such Railways is equipped with a gear wheel.
Trains cog Railways can overcome a much larger UPS than on conventional Railways. The coolest cog railway in the world - Pilatusbahn, leading to the top of mount Pilate(Switzerland, near Lucerne). The slope of this road in some places reaches 48 %.
The steepest cog railway with a gradient of 48%.

Did they design the train to sound like that on purpose or just a happy little side effect of the motors?

I think it was designed all 3 phase AC locomotives make such a sound but the specific sound of the taurus was designed

@@blackbirdgaming8147 No, it was designed. You can't get rid of the sound the taurus makes, but you can improve it, and that's what they did.

This actually kind of annoys me. There's a sort of pretentiousness to it. The field steps can be far smoother and dont have to be tuned to that particular set of tones.
