I am one of the musicians, along with my husband, who recorded this CD with Singh Kaur. This was the last thing she did; she was very ill at the time and passed away a few months later. But she was very determined to get this music recorded for posterity. It was a truly transcendent experience, as it is to listen to it now. I am glad to hear how healing it has been for so many. I have not heard any other voice like hers in all these years.

@@Praondeeuvou Thank you, Anny. It was a bittersweet time, as we hadn't seen her in about 10 years. We worked on earlier recordings with her back in the '80s. At the same time as "Universe," I also recorded on a track ("Fairy Ring") on her other last CD, Fairy Night Songs, which is an exquisite album with a kind of mystical Celtic feel to it. It was issued by Sequoia Records. Check it out.

I have been in a lot of pain and heartache. This weekend I asked for "something". Today I came across this.

This is my favorite song in the whole universe. I just learned the other day that Singh Kaur literally got up from her deathbed to record this as her last gift to humanity. She brought her closest friends together to record the album as she was dying. For me, knowing that makes it's etheric quality even more enchanting. Love and Blessings to all.

I don’t know, how many times this song saved my life and gave me peace. This feeling and connection is priceless and magical. Thank you 🙏🏼

She and Enya have the most angelic voice in the world, truly beautiful souls. The frequency of this song softens my heart and makes me feel compassionate towards those who are troubled. 5 years ago 2 archangels came in a dream and told me: "Respect the Universe You are the universe" I can understand angelic language but can't translate in words. She has been my favorite since 82, when I lived for 5 years in 1 of the Ashrams of Yogi Bhajan in México, in San Angel and we used to do our sadna meditations daily (4-6 am) with her tapes, for long time I lost her and came to find her here, most angelical & beautiful voice and music I`ve listened to, thanx a lot for sharing!

I used to just loop this for hours while I threw pots on a pottery wheel. Never can get tired of it!

charanjit singh, I do not like snatm`s singing, love her as a person, but she is just not my type, cannot compare her style nor her childish voice with Singh Kaur

Something made me find this music again. There was a time I listened to this constantly. I was going through a difficult time and this music calmed me and gave me healing.

Had no idea she had passed away till now... went back to Wikipedia couldn't believe such a young talent was called away so young.

Thanks for uploading this. Singh Kaur has the most sublime voice of ecstatic bliss.
