Marcelito is self taught, he lived on the streets from the age of 7 after being abandoned by his mother. He learned to sing by hanging around listening to other artists, he has a very good ear for how other people sound and can mimic their voices. He is a very sweet kind soul. When you pay for a concert you don't pay to listen to a hard-luck story. There are thousands of talented musicians who had tough lives. That often is what makes them better. I've found talent on the street that is better than many mainliners. Marcelito, has an excellent ear for parroting, now he needs to work to expand his talent and save his voice.

Marcelito and Dimash, two of the most amazing singers on earth given their abilities to sing in so many different ranges. Love them both!

He’s singing in counter tenor and singing in baritone. Excellent video. Plus he’s singing in Italian. English is not his first language. He’s from the Philippines. Yes a very gifted singer.

Marcelito Pomoy always blew everyone's mind. He is the master in switching voices in a split second, no effort whatsoever. He could do any music, he does it all. He never ever had a real training or lessons in singing, he's self-taught. How is that possible? Something God made, that's Marcelito Pomoy. I know that someone else has written about Marcelito's extremely difficult life. He lived a childhood that would have broken everyone. Yet somehow he remained kind, gentle and humble. His spirit and character is part of everything he sings and adds a certain magic touch to each song. The Prayer, although not written about him, is exactly what he prayed everyday of his childhood living on the streets in poverty and alone~ he prayed for God to provide him a safe place and grant him wisdom and guidance to survive. The line ~ just like every child -just like every child ~ brings me to tears. He can sing all genres of music, both male and female vocals and in 6 different languages. He is a true inspiration and continues as an advocate for the poor and abandoned people of The Philippines.

Beautiful tenor and countertenor voice. Absolutely beautiful vocal tone and control. His "head" voice is more of a mix. He uses falsetto for the soft higher notes with his "male" notes. Marcelito is amazing.

100%natural,god given TALENT..he never got Trained..its self taught since he was a young man ..his sad life;dad went to Prison..mom abandoned him when he was a child .......orphaned.......so,he turned his sad life around ..by practicing singing by himself.....& now he's married & has a son....or a Daughter..if I'm mistaken ......idk
