Greatest operatic performance of all time. That few seconds after the last note…Even Luciano knew how special that was!
The crescendo at the end when he proclaims he shall be victorious... It was as if Pavarotti was singing this not just to the audience but to the universe. Just magnificent.
Queste sono le reaction che soddisfano il cuore e l'anima ❤
There is only one Luciano! Other Tenors can sing this song very well, Placido, Jose, etc. but Luciano's voice has such a warmth and a unique tone that you know it when you hear it. It makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up it's so beautiful.

No, you haven’t lived until hearing Pavarotti sing this full to the last note. Just Amazing!
The very best tenor to ever have lived and here he is singing the epitome of tenor arias. Flawless, with power and passion as only this man could achieve. His expression at the conclusion shows just how moved he was to share his gift with all who would listen. Bravo & thank you for sharing.
The first time I ever broke down in tears over a song was from this performance. The final note just overwhelmed me 🤯

I totally agree that this is Pavarotti's strongest performance but I believe that this performance that we're watching now is much more emotional and much more full of feeling. He got more in touch, he put more of himself in as he got older . Truly beautiful both thank you❤

I can’t listen to this song without it bringing me to tears, it gets me every time - Pavarotti had the best version in my opinion
Every reaction to the great Pavarotti should simply be awe and amazement. His voice was gold. I saw him live once in Boston. It was a privilege.

I SAW HIM LIVE TOO IN LONDON`S HYDE PARK IN 1991 HE WAS MAGNIFICENT.
The first time I heard Pavarotti I was 10 years old, and from that I was hooked to his powerful artistry, from that moment on I couldn’t tolerate any other voice like Placido Domingo and others that pretty much sound the same. It’s beautiful to see and listen to the Three Tenors because you clearly see Pavarotti’s greatness. I thought you would react to Pavarotti’s rendition of Torna a Surriento because you are from there, unless you don’t want to cry on camera, hehe just kidding. Turandot’s Nessun Dorma is recognized worldwide thanks to Luciano Pavarotti, the master, the greatest of all times, this is a wonderful rendition! ¡Bravissimo!

the best opera singing in history! When I was very young I heard him sing. It was as if he reached into every person's heart and touched our souls, and made us one. Everyone cried when he sang because he had the voice of an angel. He sang from his heart and soul RIP Maestro!
Yes the king is in the hall Yet he was humble A true artist
What a voice was Pavorotti! So many ppl don't realize his age at this point and how hard this is to sing! It takes such a fine vocal control and breath control! He is irreplaceable, and the world wept when he died. I wish I could have met him!
I've watched several reaction videos on "Nessun Dorma," and I must say I enjoyed yours the most. The others I viewed showed people who had never heard of Pavarotti or the aria. And their reactions were lovely. But your video is different because you know Pavarotti and the piece, and yet your reaction is itself "epic," to borrow your term. Pavarotti was indeed a "cathedral of sound" - beautiful, majestic, glorious sound. You make excellent observations. Your interpretation is spot on. And your reaction? The goosebumps say it all! 🎶🎵
Luciano Pavarotti was singing since he was a little boy with the God given gift of the greatest tenor of all time. His tone is from heaven and he singing with the angels. Bravo 👏
He literally takes my breath away with his last note every time I watch this. People will come along and sing this song, but not with the power as Pavarotti. What a voice.
This is perfection. For technique and clarity. Nobody equals "Big Luciano" We miss you ❤ Ci manchi molto. Ti ameremo per sempre.
The Expression on his Face at the end is like .... "Even I Don't Know Where That Came From! "

He's still in character. In the movie "Croupier" about a casino dealer and his observations, last line of dialogue the croupier standing in his tux looking over the roulette table he's working we hear his thoughts that he "no longer hears the sound of the ball". Pavarotti is still in that small kingdom centuries ago and is hardly aware of the onlookers and ovation in front of him.

Il Maestro è sempre nei nostri cuori.
Hello Frank from Miami. Definitely Pavarotti was a master in opera. His voice was powerful but also he used to transmit the feelings in each note. Bravo 👏
This music, performed by Pavarotti, is one of my favorites in life! The chorus is amazing too. It's really epic! Save Pavarotti! Save Puccini!
I've been listening to Pavarotti for the last couple days. I must feel like crying. :-)
It is Luciano's emotion that makes him unique in this concert. Something special on this particular day!
I cry every time I look at that. When a spectular singer with talent and training and everything nature and art can give then gives his voice to a song, feels it with his whole body and mind and heart, then this can happen. He knows that he is good. He sees how people react and he has superior ears. But this shook him. He pulled himself together but his reaction was real. Wow! A person could train for a lifetime for a moment like this.
Franck is right to say that everything resounds when Pavarotti sings. He liked, when he chatted with other professional opera singers, to put their hands on his back while he sang to feel the vibrations of his whole body. His whole body became a sounding board that allowed him this exceptional power. In addition he had learned the pronunciation technique of the old masters which gave this clarity to his singing. His unique velvet timbre added to all this makes him certainly the greatest lyrical singer to have existed. It's a real phenomenon...
This aria reminds me of il mio nonno. I have goosebumps and drop some tears every time I heard it. I've never had a big emotional tie with my grandpa (he pass througt the orphanity and two world wars before came to Argentina and my dad's birth so he was a little tough for show his feelings), but we always were connectec by the intellect and the arts. My dad is a big fan of Pavarotti and it's not unusual find him listening Turandot or another opera with the speakers in full volume. Many year after my nonno's death, I had the luck of work in a radio of classical music and there was my tears and goosebumps everytime I had to broadcast Turandot, Aida and every wonderful piece of opera that remindsme my nonno Stefano.
His transition from note to note is smooth as silk! There is, nor will there ever be, no other like him!
That last gasp for air is like returning his soul to his body after leaving it all on that last note
Best singer ever. That's His aria.
His the only one to bring me too tears greatest tenor of all time rip great man😍
C’é tutto dentro quest’opera É e sarà sempre una delle più toccanti Lui sarà sempre il nostro Luciano ❤️
It is also his enunciation. His emotiveness. So much to learn from him just by watching. Aren't we lucky to have been alive when he was alive? And all of it recorded for us to enjoy. Even more than his performance, I love watching his face as he asks himself, was it good? And then, Yes, I did it! It kills me they fade the camera before we get his huge smile!
My favorite tenor. I was watching young people reacting to this video and I cannot believe they do not know who this man was or anything about opera, but I'm glad they are amazed by him
Brother...so very happy I found your reaction. You react as I did. Completely spellbound by this voice from Heaven. Like PAVOROTTI will be doing this for God thoughout eternity.
Luciano was not only a great (Fantastic amazing unique) singer, but a wonderful actor on stage. His performances were stunning, making you feel his own feelings with his face and body. In opera, where the people is far from stage (theres no camara zoom or any mic) the colorful makeup or big gestures are needed. Thats why Luciano makes that face at the end of the song, he is feeling the music, transmitting you the energy of his caracter. He was just from out of space, I recomend you listen to "No, pagliacho non son" it's just perfect.
Best reaction ever. Intelligent and full of heart, thank you!
There are no words that you can say that would truly describe Pavorotti singing "Nessun Dorma" PURE PERFECTION!
"You say" whatever that magic puts into your heart and soul. If you can find the words. If you can't find the words just smile and cry. EPIC! Good luck in your career Frank.
Well,always proud to be Italian
Speechless, just beautiful.
love all your comments, especially "cathedral of sound"
Pavarotti's barrel chest was the root....the large root of his rich sound and I don't think any of the other Tenors gave us that ultimate richness. The story is also everything. Vincero..."I will win'.
Pavarotti's old school technique is solid. Most singers don't want to put in the time and study to sing these incredibly difficult arias. They think because they can hit the notes, that's good enough, but it's not! They don't have the open throat sound that this man has. It gives you power and command of your voice without losing quality. He is a real operatic tenor, not the imposters that are singing now. Other great dead tenors are: Enrico Caruso, Jussi Bjorling, Franco Corelli. A great singer can make you love opera, an okay singer can make you hate it. Choose wisely! As for women, some greats to look up are Joan Sutherland (The Voice of the Century aka La Stupenda), Maria Callas (known as La Divina), & Leontyne Price. Mostly best to listen to them in their prime!
Love the reaction ! Pavarotti was flawless !
I always get so emotional with this performance in comparison with other maestros that have sang this song I feel he puts the most emotion behind it and he transfers that emotions to his audience is amazing

The Opera "Turandot" its, briefly, about a foreing and misterious prince who wants to marry a princess, but she rejects him. So he makes a deal with her "if you find out what is my name before the down, you are free to don't marry me". So, she told to all her servants "sleep nobody!!! (Nessun dorma) Find out his name". "Nobody will know my name, only I will reveal it over your lips... when the night turns into light... go away, oh night! Dissapear stars! At the down I will triumph!! (Al alba vincere)". Its one of the most beautiful master pices of Giacomo Puccini, along with "E luceven le stelle" from Tosca, my personal favorite.

Finally someone came up with the perfect description! 'His body is an entire cathedral of sound.'!!!
To hear Pavarotti sing, is to hear and see the actual soul and not just the man singing.
It is astounding to be capable to sing like that But, before you perform, you also have to hear in your mind the sound that you want to achieve. It is easy to appreciate hearing this great performance... but the artistry of the performance is so much more than just singing the notes I have heard this performance dozens of times and it always sends shivers through my body
You might not believe this but when I saw the documentary movie about his life he had such stage fright before each live performance he got sick “I can’t go out there” His manager retorted “ yes, Pav, you will do well“. He had to literary push him out on stage. Barbara Streisand had such stage fright that not only did she throw up prior to a live performance. She actually retired for 10 years from singing due to stage jitters and fright. Yes, Lucia o had that great strong vibrato and range. One of the best in the world. Al

I am SHOCKED to learn this! This man's voice could punch a hole in the Ozone layer (and shoot, Babs has an impressive set of pipes herself). I am glad someone was always there to push him out on stage because the world needed to know Pavarotti's talent.
Ringrazio il cielo di aver potuto ascoltare dal vivo il grande Luciano Pavarotti
Yes…such a commanding, strong, powerful voice. I’ve never seen someone sing and be able to use vibrato was so much power behind it. With all of that talent …. The number of hours practicing must have been incredible.
I don’t know opera but I get chills listening to this aria (?). One thing I’ve noticed listening to Pavarotti sing it compared to other opera singers is that others seem to be straining whereas Pavarotti has zero tension in his face, it seems completely effortless to him.
Dame Joan Sutherland said Pavarotti sounds like a tenor should should. She taught him to breathe correctly properly supporting, and hence, protecting his voice. They became great friends and fellow opera performers. Pavarotti had such a unique "pure" sound. Beautiful, just beautiful. You intelligent comments are spot on.
His voice is everything, it takes all the space around by channeling all the drama of the song.
AMAZING! But I cannot find a word to describe my feelings when a hear this splendour music and performance.
You cant compare Pavarotti with Dimash or Dimash with Pavarotti. There is no comparison or similarity. And they are both iconic and unique in their essence and expression. I love the way you express yourself. 🍃
Take comfort in the fact that we have this masterpiece forever.
Pavarotti is so emotional at the end because this is his last public performance. He was.dying of cancer at this time. He gave it everything he had left in him. Always makes me tear up to hear this performance.
This song.....him singing it.....gets me every single time. Tears, shock, such respect. Damn!
He had so powerful voice when he was singing even the Gods is fallen down from the skies!!!
È bello sentirti Italiano ! Great Luciano viva Modena e viva l'Italia
Luciano Pavarotti. Deus fez a fórmula e jogou fora. Lógico que houve muita dedicação, estudo para constituir essa maravilhosa voz. Eu não consigo ficar sem ouvi-lo. Essa musica transmite força, beleza e muito mais. Ele é imortal.
Yes, it’s freaking Pavarotti! Just love it! Gives me goosebumps.
Hearing him hit the first of the last high notes was as impressive as it should be & difficult. But when he elevated it to the next level it was otherworldly. I think he knew it. I think he was psyched up & in the zone. Look at his eyes. He's possessed by the music mind, body & soul. When he looked up, closed his mouth for an instant, then closed his eyes -- at that point I don't think Pavarotti could even hear the applause. He was in another realm. He needed to return to earth to be mortal again after that. It's what made him so special. I am sure Puccini would have been proud of Luciano. Can you appreciate the Italian language in opera though? He's just singing at the end "I will win, I will win" which is not so poetic or lyrical -- but in Italian, Puccini writes "vincerò" -- which means the same thing -- a much more poetic word that ends in a vowel so its final note can be held dramatically. expressively & with power. I love it. Good, sincere assessment Frank as always.
Nessun Dorma com o Pavarotti me faz chorar sempre.

Spectacular performance by Luciano and you in this video. Thanks to both of you. You should teach a course to adults (over 21) about the history and depth of opera, even as complete amateurs. The hunger for walking tours anywhere in Europe is really thick right now.

Goosebumps everytime I hear he singing this! How not to feel it? 😍Frank, have you ever heard Aretha Franklin singing this song, replacing The Great Pavarotti, in a award cerimony in USA? He became sick in the afternoon of the presentation and by sugestion of himself, The Queen of Soul steped in.
Best reaction to any song I’ve seen yet 🙏🏼 I was driving through the mountains years ago and was listening to this song and as soon as the choir came in we rounded a bend and saw huge mountains and the sun just coming up. It felt like the Angels were singing, so beautiful to the sunrise over the mountains ⛰ I might have cried 🥲
His body is a cathedral of sound. Never heard it sàid better.
No at the end he didn’t shock himself he tries to breathe without everyone notice it. He was a great tenor. Listen at him when he was younger.
