Shnell, maybe its just me, but Sohyang singing this song to doctors makes me blessed. Knowing that she is cancer survivor.

This is a stripped down acoustic version of this iconic song, performed outside, whilst sitting down, with minimal instrumentation, and yet it was easy for her. She also sang the sax part for good measure. She is incredible. Thank you for the reaction. Look forward to the next one.

this song is supposed to be a hard, hard song to even sing decently... yet, Sohyang makes it sound easy... incredible...

I see singers / coaches react to So-Hyang, ends up getting this "singer-crush" that they fall in love with her. I think because of their profession and expertise, they can appreciate her that much more. Still love to see people's reaction and proud to be Korean.

Queen Sohyang ..her voice is soooooo beautiful!!

She has a fundamental goodness that is impossible to fake and it comes through in every performance. For whatever reason she connects with me in a way that shouldn't be possible considering I never reacted that way to Whitney, Mariah or Celine in their primes. For a kick watch her and the rest of the Begin Again crew perform Day Day where I'm pretty sure she is the only singer ever to speed rap four bars and hit a belted Bb5 in the same song. Guaranteed to leave a smile on your face.

This was sohyangs tribute to Whitney in a more ‘laid back’ fashion, on the dockside, in the heat & the wind, with minimal musical accompaniment & she smashed it out of the park. If you’d like to see her pay homage to Whitney with an orchestra behind her then please watch her performance of ‘I have nothing’ at the DMC festival. This lady can sing any genre, although she is a gospel singer at heart & you will often find traces of gospel in her arrangements for all her performances, even those that you wouldn’t normally associate with that genre (sohyang arranges all the songs she performs herself). During the ‘begin again Korea’ series she covered many genre’s & can even be heard rapping!!! It is a real shame that ‘arirang’ was blocked, I don’t understand why it would be as I have seen 50+ reactions to her performance of this song on the show ‘immortal songs 2’, maybe the copyright thing is potluck unless the recently released 2021 version of the song is blocked as I haven’t seen many reactions to this so far but anyway, the older of the 2 performances is where the magic really happens. I will wait for your patron because I cant wait to see your reaction to it. Also,don’t ever be put off sohyangs performances in her native language because even without subtitles she somehow still has the power to reduce you to tears (I recommend you watch her performances on ‘Vimeo’ because not only do they provide eng subs when req’d but they seem to be all over the blocking problem. I don’t know if you are a woman of faith, although it doesn’t really matter,but if you want someone to take you to church then Sohyang is your girl, just ask Kirk Franklin!! She is often referred to as the ‘queen’ where Dimash is ‘king’ & like dimash, don’t ever think that she can’t possible shock you or render you speechless because she will, time & time again & no matter how many times you see her perform,she will always leave you wanting more. You may have done this already but please read her back story which will explain why she sings & why she’s not famous all over the world,something her talent surely deserves,!it will just make you love her even more. I always like to say,when trying to describe Sohyang, that,in short, she is as beautiful a person on the inside as her voice is on the outside. You always mention about staying humble, well, in Sohyang you have the perfect example of just that

Amen! Her humility is something one doesn't see much in the music industry. When asked during an interview why she does not seek international fame, she responded that she doesn't believe in making lots of money to sing. (As many know, she turned down an offer from Sony last year, and turned down Michael Bolton's offer for her to tour with him after he called her performance of "Lean on Me" (he performs this song) a "virtuoso". Got to love her!

You are the prime example of well-informed Sohyang fans. Thank you for these comments. I always offer a link to Vimeo if the performance is in that library. No blocks and usually English subtitles. I feel for Reactors who are blocked and folks who are brought to tears without knowing the lyrics - it makes her performances even more powerful for English-speaking audiences. She is humble, shy, gracious, elegant, beautiful, sweet, cute, funny, charming, generous, giving, and enormously gifted - I believe that she and her talent are Gifts from God, and apparently so does she . . . a great lady. Henry also has his own youtube channel where he has guest sing in his carpool karaoke segment including Lee Hi which is the girl with the stunned look in this video. Also he has a segment where he invites child prodigies that plays instruments. It's really amazing how well some of these super young children can play.

Yes, sometimes we don't need words for reaction. Watching your reaction, I found myself holding my breath along with you, to not disturb every moment Sohyang was providing. This is part of the Begin Again show where various artist (different ones each season) from korea travel to other parts of the world (mainly europe) to busk to crowds on the streets of these countries. Due to the pandemic, the show couldn't travel outside the country this season so instead they went around South Korea. Some other highlights from Sohyang when she joined half way through Season 4. I Will Go to You Like the First Snow cover of Ailee's OST, I Won't Give Up cover of Jason Mraz and Day Day a group collaboration but Sohyang shows her special talent.

Mid belting for more than 60 % of the song an waring that it is one of thr most emotional songs from her and she said it was the most difficult song she ever sang. Very different from 3 songs you reacted. - Never ever enough (Loren Allred version) : Music video, I don't want to spoil you but you can find her ability to harmonize it by herself. - Mona Lisa : From The king of masked singer (Yes, this show is originally from South Korea and sold copyright to US and other countries). You will be able to tell it is her after 1 second. f you want to see her singing Rock , this is it. Sang in Korean.

You’ve got to check out her heartfelt rendition of “If I ain’t got you” by Alicia Keys. That’s handsdown my fav among all the masterpieces she’s dropped in 2020 on this Beginagain show.
