I love Jin so much in the beginning, but after see how Chanyeol singing with his deep voice, I can’t explain how much I love him and his talent, make me curious with Exo then. I saw All the Exo’s member with their super talent make me fall for them and being an Exo-L. I stan quality than visual. But literally Exo’s visual more make me so damn lovin’ them. Proud to be EXO-L 🖤

EXO is no joke, the idols of 4th gen use their songs for training and vocal lessons because these guys are the elite when it comes to music: singing, dancing, performing. They are the go-to group when they do covers because of the range of techniques you have to work on and practice to get improve. They are the Blueprint

BTS are the kings of popularity mainly bcoz their fans make them so, but EXO are the vocal kings and are exceptionally multi-talented regardless of whether they are popular or not. Talent is their selling point. On the other hand, BTS's selling point are their fans. No offense meant though.

@qwin tush i think what the op means is that there are groups that are way more talanted, but aren’t quite as popular. Not even close. I was an army a few ago, and i saw the rise of bts. And tbh, for me it looks like being an army became a trend. And not like „oh i will be a fan bc this group is really talented“ more like everyone is a fan so I’ll go with it. And come on, you are saying their selling point is their message in the songs. But did you really ever listened to a song for the first time and thought „oh who cares for the beat, the vocals or the rap, i have to know the meaning of the song“?? Or are you saying since boy with love their songs had any deep meaning? Dynamite? Really?

@qwin tush look, I’m not sayin bts doesn’t have meaningful songs, like i said i was an army before. But they have a lot of songs that aren’t, especially since the last two years (ok i don’t know their b sides since then) ... but you first fall in love with a song bc you just like it, not bc of the meaning. And your last comment just shows it. I mean even that exo is my ultimate, i have songs that i don’t like that much, and these are tempo and love shot 😅.. so we have different tastes in music, and not bc you like meaningful songs and i don’t. And yes, even some exo-l‘s just hopped on the bandwagon a few years ago, i know that. And i know it’s bts‘s moment, and i think you understood me wrong, i never said they didn’t deserve it. I just wish it wasn’t bc of boy with love or dynamite. I know they were really popular before, but after these songs they really blew up. And i can’t quite understand why, bc before they had so many freaking good songs. And that’s the reason i somehow don’t want my faves to become popular as bts, bc i don’t want them to change so they can please the western audience. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not hating here.

Honestly, I’m 20y and I never interested in kpop before but BTS make me know about kpop because they’re so popular in my country, the song that first make me into kpop is boy with love by BTS. everywhere I go I heard their song. That’s a reason why I get caught by kpop and keep research more about kpop and then I’m so deep with Exo and become exol completely. As a former ARMY, I genuinely thought I couldn't stan any other group but oh boy EXO just did it for me. They are my Ult and I'm now a multi stan but there's just something about EXO's music. I'm sorry but I can't just get myself to enjoy BTS anymore for some reason. They've lost the magic that they had till the Blood Sweat and Tears era. After that I could only listen to couple of their songs at most. I understand that a lot of hardwork has been put behind the production and all but Black Swan, ON and only a handful of songs made it to my playlist. As for EXO, I put their official playlist on Spotify whenever I wanna listen to some music and I'm never bored or skipping songs. I believe ARMY turned EXO-Ls is a thing XD Once you start listening to them, no other groups compare.

So here's the tea, siszt.🍵 No hate and no offense but this video just literally said, "yeah vocally-wise, stan EXO. Or, just stan EXO coz they'll serve you whatever you want for a performer." They serve good vocals, techniques, tones, quality, "proper use" of those techniques, those shifting and VOCAL RANGE. YES!!! RANGE! Now let's talk about vocal range. When it talks about "vocal range", it talks about the pitches a singer can produce. Yeah, yeah I got that Jimin could hit high notes, too, but he tends to get support from his falsetto. I mean, that's good. It produces a whole lot of different feels for a song, too. I mean maybe he can use chest voice, wait, I'm sure it is not impossible for him but maybe he's comfortable in using his falsetto more and IT IS SO OKAY! I can't even a micro problem on that. BUT, bitsh, EXO just easily hit those fucking high notes (which is higher than your grades lol) using CHEST VOICE! YES CHEST VOICE! NOT JUST FALSETTO! AND THEY GET SUPPORT FROM THEIR CHEST VOICES TO HIT THOSE NOTES MOST OF THE TIME THAN USING THEIR FALSETTOS! And mind you, it is much harder for a singer to use chest voice when hitting high notes than falsetto. It requires a lot of control for a force you could pull to produce a good quality sound and of course, every singer needs air and chest voice requires that the most. I know that coz I can say I am also a singer. (And maybe I love EXO because I am a singer? And they're veterans?) Anyway, let's talk about runs. Bitsh, please, EXO can just pull those sooooooooooo cleeeaaan. Like yeah, it's like they are singing Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande songs while doing a work-out or like exercising on a treadmill. For references of their clean runs, just listen to their songs. There's no greater reference than that. And don't forget to listen to their solo songs. EXO vocal-line solo songs will only get you choke HAHAHA So that's the tea. You don't like? Then just drink water, bitsh.

At first I was not into kpop. I just became an EXO-L just last year, and i am 39yo! ( Kyungsoo made me an EXO-L btw) then my friend who is an ARMY wanted me to check BTS, after seeing 1 music video of them I just cannot bring myself to stan them. i dunno, maybe my standards are high because EXO was my 1st kpop. So as of today my only kpop group I stan are EXO, SHINEE and SF9. (BTW, I only like the visuals of JIN from BTS, haha)

Hi, Martin. I can relate on what you said about the effect of bts' music from exo's music. BTS is really popular right now. I tried to listen to their songs but it doesn't give me the feeling that I can get from EXO's songs, especially EXO's ballad songs. I don't know. I only feel this in EXO. Comparing Exo's vocals to bts are unfair to them. No shading, I respect them. Bts improved a lot in terms of vocal,their techniques got better but then, a 2021 bts is still a no match to a 2012 Exo let alone a 2021 Exo. Exo are out of their leagues in terms of vocal. There's no way comparing BTS and EXO. EXO is on another level. I was an ARMY (2016-2017) but not long because i realised that there's no one can do better than EXO. I stan EXO since 2014 untill now.

Before i know EXO i've heard some of BTS song because they are popular in here so their song are played everywhere.. but they still not made me interested in kpop. I've heard their song once and enough. I mean didn't repeat it. Their song are good and earcatchy but maybe it just because it was not my taste, music is about personal preference right? But then i accidentally heard 1 song from D.O. because of IU's recomendation.. i fall in love right away with his voice, i repeat thats okay for 3 days nonstop.. and then i try to listen to one EXO song that is MAMA, their debut song and i blown up, falling in love and stan them right away.. their vocal is so clean even their high note are very pleasant to ear. And the emotion of the song, they delivered them straight to your heart perfectly without you even know the meaning of the song.. i don't like upbeat song but from exo, they make me love all their song even the rock one, upbeat, reggae, all of them. So thats why i love them so much. For another group i only like some of their song especially the ballads/slow song not the upbeat one.

I met exo for the first time, but it didn't make me become a kpop fan. I met bts in 2014 and I thought that these guys would change everything. And I was right, they literally broke in and destroyed Big 3, and became world legends...

As an EXO-L, the word proud is understatement. I'm on tears reading all the comments talking how great EXO's vocal. We all know that EXO are the kings of vocals not to mention they're the ost king and Baekhyun being chosen to sing south korea's anthem. No doubt, you got goosebumps when listening to their song esp when they're hitting high notes effortlessly. Singing live is also one of their assets. Arghhh sooo proud and grateful to stan them! 😩❤

EXO is INSANE. The fact that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM could be a main vocalist in other groups is crazy. We all know about the holy trinity composed of Kyungsoo, Chen and Baekhyun, but pay a closer look at any of them and you'll be blown away. Chanyeol has one of my all time favourite voices being so strong and raspy, Suho and Kai have such velvety and emotional vocals without ever being weak, Xiumin's voice is so soft yet stable, Sehun's voice is so manly and deep, Lay's precision and force is out of this world. They are out of everyone's league, I'm sorry it's just how it is.

I really agree with you that EXO IS A TEAM. That about sums it up. Maybe BTS will be more cohesive in time. They seem so young compared to EXO. The two groups admire each other so much, so the fans should be respectful. In fact, I’m not aware of any issues between any of the male groups. The fact that Super M can be formed from so many groups says a lot. Does anyone know who put SuperM together? But IMHO, EXO’s line of Xiumin, Lay, and Suho can out vocalize BTS any day. 🤫. It’s a shame that SM didn’t promote EXO in the Western world more. Their ability to sing in Spanish and English would make them a powerhouse. They need to work on their English communication skills. BTS has an amazing ability to communicate in English. Especially RM.

Well ExoL didn't stan exo because they are popular but because we love their songs and also we felt their love on ExoL's on how they treated their fans is so absolutely heart melting there was a saying that "one you enter EXO's fandom it will be hard on you to find the exit " 💙💙 SARANGHAJA! For me,I much prefer EXO vocals because they can sing any kind of music, upbeat or slow, they can make you understand the song because they put their emotions into it...and also they can sing better (on tune) even they are dancing or sitting.

EXO is art, therefore they only create masterpieces. And what I love about EXO is that I ALWAYS, ALWAYS get goosebumps when they sing whether it's hitting those high notes or ballad. And that's hard, creating impact singing low registers. AND the EXO's passion for singing truly shows, they have been taking vocal lessons everyday since trainee years, after debut, and even 10 years in the industry especially Baekhyun.

i feel you.. i really tried to open up my heart to BTS.. but it wont skip a beat unlike when it is EXO..i dont want fan wars.. i respect BTS..but i love EXO..and will always b.. they are the only kpop i stan... Thank you for making us happy by doing your reaction.. ❤️❤️❤️

The members of BTS can sing well, but EXO OMG, they have one of the best vocals in the kpop, en fin DIOSES VOCALES, SU COVER DE SABOR A MI ES SIMPLEMENTE ARTE

EXO's voice is very stable even when they are performing live. They don't just focus on one strength because even the rapper line and dancing line keeps up with the vocal lines. EXO or all the SMENt. groups are on a different level when it comes to vocals. Not to be biased since I am an EXO-L but I was an ARMY too until 2017 and even before I already know that EXO is on a different league when it comes to vocals. Among BTS vocalists, JK and V are the best on their group when it comes to vocals when performing live and has improved a lot too.

Fun fact: The main rapper and the main dancer of EXO can be the main vocalist!!

Also, Sehun & Kai may not be excellent, but EXO has Park Chanyeol. Even if you consider only a fast rap as a good one, you can't say his rap is not the best if you know about the songs like "Lightsaber" or "Overdose". It's just that the songs they sing doesn't suit so fast verses...

I’m a new fan of kpop and naturally pretty fed up with exo vs BTS fan wars!😂 Well my opinion is BTS really deserves to be where they are right now. I think people find their jolly sides really catchy and the fact that they write their lyrics and the message they want to give like “love yourself first, just breathing just existing is okay”... c’mon ! I think that really ticks. And their stage presence is unique and actually different from studio version. their company’ is really supportive with everything and seems to give the boys their own authorities. The lighting in their music videos is really artistic. Their music and the beat is really lively ,their dance moves are very sharp and they themselves seem very free spirited and fun to be around. And they could really communicate with the west people. I like jung kook’s voice and the rappers. On the other hand, Exo is really the master in terms of vocals. I really like their soft songs like ‘don’t go’ and ‘promise’. The main vocals never fail to amaze me as I started to dig up all their videos. But sadly, it must have been really hard for them since three members left and one stuck in China. Still... the members are really sweet and bright and I also love their theme with super powers. Everyone of them can sing beautifully... I like Baekhyun’s voice the most. Their music is really unique and I could listen to them all day. But I think their company is not that supportive coz they’ve got lots of groups. Their music videos don’t even have English subtitles.. which is really frustrating for non Korean fans. Still I prefer exo songs cause I really like their voices. And I’m one of those fans dying while waiting for a comeback 😂

I tried to free my mind & soul, to listen to BTS. I failed miserably a few times to appreciate them, especially during live stage. So, I have to rewatch EXO live stage over and over again to calm myself.

I was influenced by my cousin to stan exo but then staying with them is my choice because when she tried to show me BTS songs may be i listened for a few but i preferred exo still. It's not because of the group itself but just, exo's songs are more of my taste. That even tho BTS are more popular i still stayed with EXO.

No offense meant but this shows how big is the difference between the 2 groups. I mean, they are so young on those clips and EXO is already great back then but now, they are on another level. The singers/vocals (main&lead) can rap, and the rappers can sing. That's how amazing they are. I don't hate bts, I'm just stating facts when it comes to vocals because the technique that EXO has is even praised and acknowledged by the other singers and vocal coaches. They won't be called LEGENDS for nothing. 😊 Always love your reactions Martin, they are so genuine. 😁

Yeah, I am ARMY myself and I agree that EXO has one of the strongest vocal line in kpop :) But, on the other hand, for example, BTS has one of the best rap line in kpop :) And 2 of the best dancers imo ( Jimin and Jhope). I also think BTS Has one of the strongest stage presence and I love how versitale and meaningful their songs are. They may not be the best vocalists in the industry in terms of technique etc, but they are still one of my fav vocal line ( I love how Diverse their voices are yet they still work together). Im saying all this because tbh your "how big is the difference between the 2 groups" didnt sound right to me. They are 2 completely different groups, with different music, concept and strong points. EXO are kpop legends WHO ruled the industry for a lot of years, no one can deny it, but BTS are right now living legends as well. They are one of the most popular artists in the world after all :/ Both groups worked extremely hard, even though their paths were very different.

@@Elathea77 I’m an exo-l and I have heard some BTS songs and I do agree that their rap is unmatched with EXOs. Sehun is obviously an idol rapper but has gotten way better and basically cannot be compared to the likes of suga or RM but chanyeol I think is special because he didn’t even audition to be a rapper he wanted to be a singer and for him to be good at rapping while he wanted to be a vocalist is AMAZING. With the vocals SM is known for AMAZING unmatched vocals. It’s like a powerhouse for vocals and that really shows in every single exo member. Don’t get me wrong BTS vocalists are good but just cannot be compared to the likes of an SM group as SM focuses on vocals and they all have even better techniques than most western artists. Despite that taehyungs voice is 😘 . And Kai and jimin= dance legends + bffs ❤️

@@-zara-3205 Yeah, V's voice is also my favourite. I was SHOCKED when I heard Stigma live. And when I said "the most popular" its exactly what I meant. I mean I'm not saying "the most talented" by any means, just the most famous right now :)

Let's be honest here. No one, i mean no one could ever compare to EXO when it comes to vocals. CHEN, BAEKHYUN, D.O. so powerful main vocals. Not to mention they are kings Kdrama OSTs. Also, every EXO member has the ability to do solo because they are all equally talented. Chanyeol, main rapper of EXO is so talented and even though his main role is rapping, he can still sing superb songs. EXO are vocals kings🤍

I feel him when he said " My heart starts ohwuwu with the goosebumps " 😂

When I listen to Exo's songs, I don't know why sometimes I cry, sometimes it relieves all my stress.Their voice give me chill and a goosebump. I listen to other music of other kpop Idol/groups but it never gives me a goosebump or a chill although I like their song unlike in Exo My whole mind relaxes when I hear their voices singing, I don't know why.

Actually, Exo is a gift from heaven. Because they can heal anyone's heart who suffer from bad things. That much, their vocals are super powerful. So, There is no argument. Exo is the best. Exo is the King of Kpop.

EXO brought me back to kpop after so many years.. I respect BTS but their songs don't give me the feeling i get from listening to EXO. Both gorups are great ✌️ just a personal opinion if i have to choose one😅

SM artists have the best vocals in KPOP industry. Why? They undergone rigorous trainings like running on a treadmill while singing highnotes or running around with wheels (?) on their back. AND! It's so unfair for EXO to classify them only as a vocal group because their rappers are also one of the bests. Maybe it's just a matter of preferences. To me (biases aside), I prefer Chanyeol's rapping style. His deep and raspy voice can sent shivers to your spine specially when he do slow raps. His best rap performances are displayed in Forever, Gravity, and Freal Love

I walked through your EXO journey and didn't expect this video on your channel. You brought some ARMY here haha. I myself got into kpop because of BTS then I found out EXO. Exo vocal really blew me away which I never feel the same from BTS. Bts vocal is average, sometimes weak. So when I heard about EXO I know this is the right group for me. Just share my experiences with you :)

Same here! I also got into kpop because of BTS, you see, they're so popular. But after exploring kpop in general, I really got into EXO. Actually SM artists really got me but EXO is the only group that I've been hooked this much! There's just this powerful force in them that will make you a fan if only you will give your time knowing them

Let’s be honest: VISUAL: Both groups consists of really good-looking members but I say EXO won this one (since they have more members and they got the big 3-Sehun Kai, Chanyeol with nice body build, height and good body proportions) RAP: BTS (this is really their forte) DANCE: it’s hard to choose on this one but I might say EXO (from jazz, ballet, hiphop and interpretative dances they got it all covered plus they have Kai) FAME: BTS ( they run the world and as we all see all their videos got more views than Exo) they also got more celeb fans than Exo because of better international opportunities VOCALS: EXO (this is their forte) FASHION: EXO (both groups are brand ambassadors but we all knew Exo are well-known in the fashion industry) And note: BTS’ theme is more into swag and vibrant/playful/colorful stuff EXO’s theme is more into cool/edgy/quirky/unique stuff Both groups deserve love not hate. And both have their strengths and weaknesses. U might stan EXO or BTS or BOTH and it shouldn’t be a problem. They have their own era of fame and recognition and people love them for the hardwork and passion that they showed us. P.S I’m an Exo-L since 2014 and till this era. I might say they’re on hiatus since some members left, some went to military service, they are getting matured and having their own lives or family and building their own careers but I’m always happy and still waiting or supporting them for every songs they make. If one day they will stop making music together as a group I will still be glad that I was able to hear their songs, see their faces and watch their dance moves. I will never replace them in my heart. But I will respect all the kpop groups new and old and will also listen and appreciate their music. What can we say.. we all have our favorites right? :)
