Thanks so much for the video. I have had my Singer Futura CE200 since 2006. I started out okay but as the computer industry changed the support became non existent. It has been idle while I did care giving and went through chemo. I am in remission. I no longer am a caregiver and I decided to work on my Futura to get it running. I was pleasantly surprised to see your video and it helped me decide to find an xp to start back up. After much trial and error and help of several people I have successfully loaded the machine and it is working. I have autopunch and hyperfont. I am hoping to renew my interest and skills in the embroidery field. Later on I may convert to Windows 10 but for now I am going to start on the old xp. Thanks again for giving me the confidence after thinking that I would never get the embroidery feature running again.

Thank you so much for posting this. You made my year!! Got it working. Save me hundreds not having to buy a new machine.

Many thanks for posting this, I was successful loading it all up and getting it to run...you saved my butt with this video. Just an FYI USB 3.0 isn't supported by Windows XP a good work around is to install the software to virtualbox using a USB 2.0 thumb drive which will mount and run just fine.

Hi, could you please share your CD file with me? I was sold the CE-200 embroidery machine but I didn't get the CD and I haven't been able to get it to work since I don't have the CD. Please 🙏🏼

Thank you for this. I just dusted off my original Futura ce 100 and had to buy an installation disc from a dealer on Ebay since I could not find the original. The free svg software program Inkscape has an Embroidery program now called "Inkstitch". I like to custom create my designs.

Hi! Thanks for this. I also got this machine a couple weeks ago and so far has been working good. In other videos I see other more advanced versions of the futura software that lets you select points and paths and other stuff to the embroidery design, but I cant seem to find these options in this program. Do you think they can be installed? or it could be only for newer machines?

Hi! I’m happy to report that, using Virtual Box and your how-to video, I was able to successfully install the Futura software on my windows 10 computer. I haven’t embroidered in YEARS....I can’t wait to start. I seem to have lost my Autopunch disk, though, I have no idea how THAT happened. I’ve searched online but I’m only finding Autopunch for much newer machines. Wondering if you know of a source?

Did you modify Virtual box or the Win 98 settings for improved graphics? Or did you follow another video to get 98 running in Virtual box?

How and where lubricated futura quantum CE-200

I know this video is old, But I am out of options! I have a XL400, Using windows XP on Virtual Machine, I can open up and use futura, But I cannot send it to my machine, there is always a connection issue, The virtual machine recognizes my XL400 and without it plugged in I cant even open Futura so I know it is connected. But how do I stop this connection issue? Everytime I install an update it corrupts my Futura, Always missing DLL. I try to replace but some can't be. Wish this was simple, But alas its not.

is there any possible way to download the software without the dvd ? i received the machine as a hand me down but it did not come with the dvd

Sorry i don't know how. 😔 Mine only had a few discs so I bought other replacements on eBay!

So my machine gets recognized by the software but will not start embroidery or do anything inside the software when i click send to machine. I have installed from the cd and then installed the updated from singer for windows 10. I just bought the machine so I am beginning to think it is broken. Do you think this would make it communicate properly? Also . When you turn on the machine with the embroidery attachment hooked up isn't the hoop holder supposed to move . Do a startup move ?

Can You Hi, could you please share your CD file with me? I was sold the CE-200 embroidery machine but I didn't get the CD and I haven't been able to get it to work since I don't have the CD.

When the machine is switched on in few seconds it gives a "beep" signal and switches off. I showed this many times to Kandy singer shop they couldn't repair it.

vmware 16 also works well, will run on windows 7 32bit only, will not work on64 bit. No luck on windows 8.1 32 bit yet. You have done your homework nice job. must have oem install disk important

Do you happen to know if I could use Virtual Box on a Macbook Pro 2009 and install the Futura software in that? or maybe where I could get that information? Great video! I love that you use voice over and there isn't an overload of ambient sound! :)

Help, please! I'm stuck! I downloaded Virtual Box but the you tube video instructions that I watched added some other software (Ubunto) other than Windows XP. Am I supposed to download WindowsXP to my Windows10 first? Or get the Virtual Box up and running (I'm on the middle) and then download WindowsXP inside Virtual Box? Or do I need that Ubunto?

Hi! Ubunto is another operating system (similar to Windows) so you could probably use it as an alternative. I've only done the setup using Windows XP within Virtual Box so I don't have any info on Ubunto to share regarding compatibility, etc. 💜

@@CraftcoreDIY Thank you for answering but I'm now so discouraged because every "how to" video for the VirtualBox that I watch goes great until it gets to something that they assume I already know. Then I'm stopping midway through to go in search of new instructions for that bit which eventually has another bit that they mention that I need to do and I start a new search and a new video. I've forgotten which videos I need to go back to to pick up where I left off. It's been days and I haven't washed my hair or done anything else.😭🤣 I guess I'll have to pack up the machine and the whole kit and kaboodle and go to one of these small computer repair ships and see what they can do for me.

@@CraftcoreDIY PLEASE HELP! 😭 I have gotten Windows XP up and running by following tutorials but they all had me download something called an "iso" that contains thousands of files. The problem is I don't have the key so it will expire. But I DO have an old windows XP disc that has the key but I can't figure out how to get the iso from that disc or just how to get the software of the disc into virtual box. 😥

If you have the XP disc, you don't need the ISO. An ISO is basically an 'image' of a CD, used for people who don't have a physical copy of a Windows XP. Install the virtual machine off the CD instead. Is your CD in good condition?

@@CraftcoreDIY Hi. Thank you so much for responding. I ended up buying an old computer that has a cd rom drive so that I could install the software directly. (I couldn't figure out how to get my legally purchased Windows XP cd installed into the Virtual Box even though I had the Windows XP files stored on my personal cloud). But I've got the machine up and running so now I'm ready to watch the rest of your video. I'm sure I'll have questions as I try to use the AutoPunch feature with scanned images. Thank you so very much for even responding!

Can't you just use another software (more advanced) to make the files, and then open them with the futura software to start the embroidery? Like that you could bypass the lack of option of the original sowtware, Have you tried?

It was working, but now all of a sudden it’s telling me that the usb cable and the machine aren’t connected when I try to start the program? What am I doing wrong ?

You should be able to install Virtual Box on Windows 7 as well. However, as described at 0:45 if you have purchased the 2.5 upgrade software it should work on Windows 7 out of the box without needing Virtual Box. I'm not sure what you mean by in notebook though.

Sad to see that this machine has discoloured the same as mine. I no longer own a computer as everything i do is on my mobile phone these days. This machine has done less than 4 hours sewing in 20 ish years i have owned it. I have another machine that is much easier to use. Recently I have taken up quilting and would like to start using this machine again. My problem is the manual and the settings don't show you how to shorten the stitch length. If anyone can help i would be so grateful. Thank you.
