Finally, the day we've been waiting for! We're grateful and thankful to have you. Thank you for visiting us here in the little red dot! We're so glad that you enjoyed this city-state garden. Let's explore the nature trails next time! We'd love to explore Pulau Ubin and Coney Island with you and Lex. We miss you two! Take care always! Hugs and kisses from SJ in SG. 🥰

We had the BEST time with you guys. Thanks for making it so special! We can’t wait to come back to SG. So much more to see and explore. 😃
Nice video. I must point out that eating chicken rice without any of the 3 sauces that usually go with it (either garlic, dark soy or chilli) is like eating mac and cheese without the cheese. 😆 Having said that, to be fair, not every chicken rice stall does their chicken well. Some can end up with terribly dry or bland chicken meat! 😜 Also Singapore is notoriously humid (even for us locals! LOL!). You might want to visit during the windier months at the start of the year (Jan - Mar) which helps to bring down the humidity and temperature. But be prepared for occasional periods of wet weather (and I mean torrential downpours at times!) as that is the tail end of the Northeast Monsoon season which typically starts in the month of December...

You might be the firstt KZreadr that featured the Star. I only went there once and not in the actual auditorium. Just the surrounding
You need to eat chicken rice together with the sauces: chillies, garlic, ginger and black soya sauce. Without those, the dish just tastes blah.

You were very lucky to be able to see wild otters. Correction: those are the Supertrees that you were talking about & Avatar The Experience is actually the one going on at the Cloud Forest in one of the domes. The Supertree nite shows are also free. When you talk about gardens or parks, of course they are outdoors usually. The CCTVs are for surveillance & security reasons, not to spy on everybody. We do not need knives for chicken rice, also we eat chicken & rice together, along with chilli sauce & dark soya sauce, sometimes ginger sauce. You guys are not eating it the local way, not doing us justice. Putu piring is made of flour, brown sugar & coconut shreds.

You went everywhere, even paya lebar. It was not featured often
Chicken meat i would eat it with the condiment of sweet sour chilli sauce, garlic. Also i often drizzled some dark soy sauce onto the rice but that is my preference. It might mask the aroma of the rice

Ohhh now this sounds excellent - definitely going to give this a try next time we're back
The sound came from cicadas. They call to attract mates.
The most delicious food is in Singapore .
That "Car Alarm" sound you've heard in the Boatanic Gardens is a Cicada insect. They're pretty loud and blend in with the trees.
Holler me when you two are back in Singapore Will bring you two to the hood for some serious local foods
The chickens hanging in the windows are poached -- not raw which is why the hawker was able to chop it up in front of you and serve it to you there and then. The piece of green stuff in the packet of putu piring is a piece of Pandan leaf. Not meant to be eaten. It's used for its fragrance and frequently used in deserts. That machine is not for 'surveilling people'. Machines like this are used to keep the floor clean. I am told similar looking ones are also used to take food orders or deliver food though I've not seen them myself. Contrary to what you think, Singapore is not a surveillance state. We're not spied on by our govt everywhere. Cameras are usually placed in strategic spots where they might come in handy to keep us safe and I'm thankful we have them. Should I ever be robbed, I would like the police to know what the robber looks like. Wouldn't you? As for unemployed Singaporeans because of the machines that are employed in their stead, please be informed that in many instances staff are encouraged to upgrade themselves through courses to enable them to use these machines. These courses are either fully paid for or heavily subsidised by govt agencies. Do you have similar schemes where you come from?
have u figured the sound from the trees? its the cicada. Its said that if u can hear lots of cicada sounds in the summer, its gonna b hot for the coming year.. I havent been hearing that sound for the past few years, but recently it seems to be everywhere.. hmmm el nino is coming.. enjoy ur stay in SG.

Well when Singapore going to start their tourism industry , the minister told the Prime Minister this island has no attractive stuff to bring in the world tourists , the prime minister replied wisely that you got the sun , plenty of sunlight
You guys did not add the chilli in the chicken rice and black soya sauce The 2 items must is a have

Many tourists eat the wrong chicken rice (Tian Tian) in Singapore

Tian Tian is very good generally speaking. The one at Seah Street as well. These are tourist spots areas. Locals have too many choices around the neighborhoods. We don’t need to go into the city.

Have you thought of it the other way? Singapore metro isn't really clean. It's just that NYC subway is really badly maintained

It is not just maintenance but the culture and the laws behind it. People in Singapore do not intentionally mess up the mrt. And they mostly follow the laws of no eating or drinking.
Wonderful experience for you both, but I just have to let you know that there is a disdain for Asian eating culture that comes across in your video. I’m sure this was not your intent, though.
@joshuaandalexa

Thanks for your comment, that definitely wasn't our intention. I wouldn't call is disdain as much as intrigue and comparing something new to what we're used to. We loved Singapore!
