Congratulations to her. I commend her on being top of her class. However, God forbid any of them are in a real war where they could be shot down over water or jungle or anywhere! I hope they also are competent survivalists. You can't just assume you will stay in the air forever, once you are at war...if that is what you are being trained to be.

very different. Its customised with latest AESA radars and Israeli electronics and EW systems + a different suite of weapons. Its more advanced than USAF's F-15E.

Yes. All F-15 pilots and WSO get sent to the US for training. F-16 pilots too. So are the AH-64 Apache pilots.

They are trained in various places - the RSAF being quite mature has all qualified instructors to do everything… but they do get sent to the US, Canada, France for training exposure. Major Nah in the video for example was trained in the US. RSAF has permanent detachments in France, Australia and the US.

@@rori6618 no probs. You can find out more online, but i'll compress it. F18 - multirole, carrierborne, fighter/bomber. Basically navy jets that are enabled to operate on aircraft carriers with night capability, that perform air to air, as well as air to ground(bombing) missions. Because it has so many requirements, that design had to be adjusted for them, rather than perfecting in single aspect, like lets say: air to air. On contrary, Design philosophy for f15, was : Not a Pound, for Ground. Which basically meant its specially designed..... to KiLL aeRial targets(Air to air). Although it pleasantly turned out remarkably decent in ATGround performance. Well depending whose side you're on. There you have one making adjustments(sacrifices) to cater for requirements, which the other hasn't, and can simply optimise for. While f18s are decent, F-15 is a whole lot deadlier, especially weight thrust ratio(hence speed/agility), operational range(how far/long). And alot more you can find online :)

Utter rubbish. There has been at least two. A Captain Abu Bakar flew the F-16 and Major Iskandar flies the F-15SG. Also there was COL Zakir Hamid who flew KC-135R and became head of transport group..

Uncle Bernie you’re probably right for the most part; however, she did graduate top of her class. I’d be willing to bet that she just one of those really gifted individuals who is just plain smart. That jet will not pull 9 g’s tho. The F-15c is capable of that but not the E that they fly.

@Jambi Arbi Perhaps you didn't realize that the RSAF had Malay pilots for almost 30 years, since 1992 when Mohamad Zakir Hamid became one. Since then Malays have served patriotically as pilots flying the F-5s, F-15s, F-16s, KC-135 Stratotankers, Aerospatiale-Eurocopter AS-332M Super Pumas. Unfortunately, the RSAF admittedly had failed to put a Malay on the moon.
