Its actually a seafood dish where the crab is cooked in chilli sauce. The sauce is somewhat spicy and sweet and has a distinctive taste

Is that old mall still there? I didn’t see it. I remember it from growing up in Singapore in the 1980s

@@learningideas I feel you. I grew up in this neighbourhood 😉 teenage memories of hanging out at the 2nd hand bookstores are still fresh in my memory

This place has lost its character over the years. There used to be an open-air cinema during the 70s-80s.

The only thing I miss about this place is EMF bookstore in Holland Village Shopping Centre and the old kopitiam when the ipoh hor fun belonged to the original owner. Those were my childhood memories of this place.

@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV I lived there in the early 70s as a kid before the shopping centre was even built. That particular area was just a long row of attap houses with shops and tall coconut trees along the road. 🙂
