Sinbad is so passionate about black people. He didn’t tear anyone down but yet demonstrated an understanding of their gripes. I have always smiled when he is present because he is so genuine and transparent. Breakfast club if you read this you mentioned a lot about Old school comedians like Pryor n Cosby. Do you all remember Flip Wilson? I just remember him when I was a child being a funny black man on tv. No one ever talks about him.

Marc Beausejour you're right with his act of kindness. Now that I'm older and life is as it is today it makes me wonder why they had his main character as a woman? I wonder if he was gay in real life and because of that era his stardom became stagnant for that reason. My parents were so old fashioned my mother didn't watch it but my dad used to crack up and I would sneak and watch from the adjacent room. He was really funny though. I know he's one of many that probably these shows like TBC, TVone, and others don't talk about, but I think he was also as you said a big help to other black up and coming stars. He's due some repeck! LOL

MzFine 1 yup. I don't know if he was gay tbh. But he did help people on the come up, such as Richard Pryor, the Jackson 5. When Redd Foxx was trying to get his own TV show, people were afraid to come near him, b/c his comedy routines were considered dirty back then. Flip Wilson gave Redd Foxx the exposure he needed on his show so that he could star on "Sanford and Son".

Sinbad is the most underrated Comedian ever dude has been around since the early 80's of Star Search and his own show The Sinbad Show, The Night at the Apollo, Different World and many other shows

Growing up, this is that one comedian who your parents would allow you to watch for hours because they knew he'd keep it CLEAN but funny at the same time. He's living proof that you don't have to cuss or talk about a woman's private area in order to get laughs. I will always support Sinbad. Much love and respect. 🙌❤️🙌

It’s July 2022 and this video still holds up as awesome. This video came on for me as auto play by YT but the truths Sinbad shared here are so deep and powerful, I keep rewinding it to listen again and really marínate what he says. Great interview! 🙌🏼

This was one of the best, most informative, enlightening interviews ever!! SINBAD is about it, bout it!! I know he had a stroke several years ago, and I hope he's recovering and doing well. 🙏🏼

I remember reluctantly seeing Sinbad in person in New Brunswick way back in the day and laughing SO hard that the muscles in back of my head got real tight & were hurting so bad, I was like please please, please god don't let me die . No cursing, no negativity just straight up hilarious ...

I watched Sinbad live in Tucson, AZ 7 years ago and he was phenomenal. He was so sharp and on point. He stayed up longer than he was supposed to. Amazing crowd work. Made it look so easy

DarkskinDrake I saw him live earlier this year. He was funny as hell and he didn't curse once. People laughed at me & my wife but we got the last laugh. That show was great.

DarkskinDrake but that's because DL has more of a presence than him. Like how many times did people see Sinbad in the last year? And secondly DL is funnier in interviews than on his shows. Which shows that if he does it naturally he is funny.

@Pam S Ive lived in Europe but I am from the US, I feel less safe as a POC here in the US than Europe due to their laws. The laws are more racist in the US.

I fully enjoyed this! I love Sinbad, always. I grew up watching his shows with my parents who are his age. He's a gem. Let's give him his 💐 now. He deserves his own show.

When I was a teenager working at McDonald's, Sinbad came through the drive through. He was joking on the Mic when I was taking his order so I just told him to pull around. When he pulled around, I died laughing and ran and told my co-workers! 😂😂😂...he gave me his autograph on a napkin....

Charmaine Swinney same with Mo, Eddie Griffin, etc. Netflix is well aware that the black and Latino communities share their Netflix accounts with friends and family. So a special from any of these legends if promoted like an Amy Schumer special will wind up being viewed 3-4 times from each of those shared accounts. But people are too slow to get this. Netflix's defense is analytics based off of one view per account and the audience you draw "Mo'Nique/Sinbad doesn't have a large white audience" but those shared accounts will make up for that.

Saw him 30 years ago..didnt curse one time and was hilarious...I've been blessed to have seen Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor live...Sinbad is grossly underrated...

I see in the comments folks are saying he should have more shine than he does and I disagree. He has the best kind of career. It's better to be at a steady happy medium, this is how you'll last longer. Fame can be TeamTooMuch at times. All type of scandals people in your business. *I saw Sinbad's stand up comedy in my city on Feb 24th. Sold out show and when I say its worth buying more tickets to watch him again. He is clean and give real life facts in his comedy. I LOVE SINBAD!! HE IS ONE OF MY TOP FAVORITE COMICS!!! Support this man!!! Go see him live!!! He is THAT GOOD!!!*

I STILL LOVE ME SOME SINBAD! He will never get old, to me. Charlemagne does so well at engaging the guests on this radio show and they respond well to it! Big ups to him, too!
