She was always one of the best singers. The Pips were good too, cannot forget them.
Just a microphone and a real natural voice. No autotune and lip sync crap. You don't hear people sing this good anymore.

Exactly i've seen Gladys knight a bunch i went to school with her granddaughter Gabriel she is unbelievable even sitting in her living room at the piano will make chills shoot down your spine

Talk about a singer with grit. That word doesn't even apply these days. Mama Gladys is what you truly call a vocalist supreme. Plus, she has always reminded me of my equally beautiful Grandmother. I Love You, Boba!!!!!
This is the best live recorded music I have ever heard.That drummer and bass player have a feel that anyone who has ever played must agree.Of course great vocals but what a band, just beautiful. Thank you,

U r right man. When i recorded this KZread was nowhere to be found. I had to rip it from VHS and get it out there. Wish audio was better.

As a bassist i TOTALLY agree i remember when this aired and i was like DAMN that bass player is THE BOMB!!! I have it on vhs and i'm so glad it's on youtube so i can go back and enjoy this performance. LOVE IT!!!!

Last I heard he as playing with Kenny G., not sure he is still with him or not. Do a search on his name with Kenny G and you will come up with a couple youtube videos, he has a solo with the percussionist.

watch the Richard Pryor Show. there You get the Pips singin and dancin, but no Gladys Knight thoug. cant have all. besides: if the Pips were standing on their heads or sitting on the sink: i couldnt care less: this is one of the funkiest grooviest music i ve ever hard. period. 😉
