Eh sims 3 will always be my favorite sims game but I kinda agree the sims 3 in my opinion needs auto rooms like in sims 4 cause I'm lazy to build a house and some of the pre build houses are a little awkward for me sorry if you hate my opinion ♥

the Goth lot grew in 3 and shrank in 4 to be smaller than 2

The one in the Sims 3 is supposed to be somewhat based on the Goth Sr house from the original Sims game. The other houses are completely unrelated :) Sims 3 is a prequel to all the Sims games. The timeline goes Sims 3-->Sims 1-->Sims 2. And then Sims 4 is an alternate universe. I've seen it argued that Sims 4 comes between Sims 1 and 2 in the timeline, but I personally believe it's an AU

There’s actually a cheat you can use to turn diagonal placement on but it’s a bit buggy from what I remember.

@@NickyMorris The cheat is not buggy, unless of course you type it incorrectly for some reason. However, the objects may or may not be used when placed diagonally, such as the easel. You have to download a hack/mod/fix for that easel to work properly while being placed diagonally. The couch can be placed diagonally as well in Sims 2, but the make-out animations can be messed up. So, just don't try that in-game!

@@NickyMorris If you go to my Profile and search for The Knight In Shining Armour video, then you can see that the easel is placed diagonally at first in the video, causing the foot stomping behavior to occur. Then, the player moves the easel a bit for the easel to work.

Sims 3 Goth manor is definitely my favorite since it really feels like a big spooky manor and the creepy parts like the abandoned room and the attic are great details. Sims 2 manor honestly doesn't feel all that different from other houses in Pleasantview minus the graveyard, and Sims 4 manor is just oddly built with big empty spaces and it lacks a graveyard!

The Sims 3 Goth house is incredible! Hands down the best one

I think sims 3 house was the best exterior but sims 4 is the best for interior

Very true..honestly i just download houses. lol I hardly build in Sims 3 because its complicated. Sims 4 i can see why this generation likes it. It you never played 3, 4 would be fine..but ive played 3 so im bias. lol

The Sims 3 Goth house was the best :)

Sims 4 has a lot of flaws, but damn the houses are freaking gorgeous, plus building them was never so fun and easy.

It's important to say that the internal lighting of the houses in The Sims 4 received a major improvement last year, where sun and moon rays cross the windows, so obviously it has become the best lighting in the franchise.

The Sims 3

Sims 3 ... At least the Goths can actually leave the house and walk or drive down the road without loading screens! TS3 setup is the most realistic. Its supposed to be dark and creepy.

Sims 4 was by far a great one But it was missing those additional tools I loooooved in Sims 3 It was a Tie

Well for lighting, the sims 2 was the best in my opinion. It had good shadowing and you could see all you needed to see. Sims 3 looks very dark when there is no lighting, and sims 4 is a pain as you have to put lights on, even during the day just to see anything in room, during gameplay. The Goth house in my opinion, the exterior garden I love best from the sims 3, the interior I love best from the sims 3, the exterior of the house and graveyard I love sims 2, and sims 4 is a let down on all sides - it's much smaller, has barely any garden and the interior design is not gothic, its dark and romantic, but not gothic.

Mishizal Schaper sims 4 has autolights. Basically if your sim walks into the room the lights turn on.

I prefer the sims 3, it's prettier than the sims 2 and the sims 4 has a weird look to it, like some sort of newish glow that makes it less realistic (if that makes sense). And I just love the goth house in the sims 3

Sims 3 the houses are great

Sims 4 plots has very less space compared to Sims 2 and Sims 3. Sims 3 has lighting issue. Sims 4 look neat and has the best lighting I think. The award still goes to Sims 3 :p

TS3, all on me

One thing i think is incredible is how easy the game has become. Haven't played 4 yet, but i remember 1 was very hard. Getting a promotion took serious dedication and effort.Getting home from work you were exhausted and then you had to train skills and get like 8 friends as well as maintain relationships. In the Sims 2 it was also a bit challenging, but no where near as difficult. When i tried the Sims 3 at my ex-gf's i went AFK got back, and had gotten 3 promotions.

SIMS 3 is the BEST

I love all three of the Sims artwork, yes every pack had fabulous artists.

Man, the sims 3 goth house was so much more creepier and much more detailed than the other two.

Seriously want the house you made for four it looks so cosy whenever you use it for one of your video's.

i've been playing sims 2 for a while now and now i like the build mode better.

there are so many more options in the Sims 4, one of the main reasons I bough (being an architecture major) it got my attention. build mode is the best its ever been!!

Nobody talks about the fact that the Goth Manor in The Sims 3 was placed on the edge of town , which makes it both more realistic and creepy (as should for the Goths concept who were supposed to be a closeted and dark family). The Goths' house in The Sims 2 is just weird and in The Sims 4 the gothic decoration is extravagant...

Sims 4 takes the cake on housing and building in general. But some of the exteriors in Sims 3 look cool. Sims 2 did well on lighting, but that's really all I can give it.

Sims 4 houses look the best, imo. You can really create a mood/vibe effectively in that game.

The Sims 3 was definetly the winner in my opinion and there were so many details in the Goth house in The Sims 3. The only bad thing about it was the lighting, but ts3 always had bad lighting. I like ts3 way more than ts4, and ts3 never got boring and there were so many things you could do, but now in ts4 it lacks so many features and ts3 was so much better. So many people are saying the Goth's house for ts3 is ugly, but it's supposed to look like that, and I really like it. It's supposed to be kind of dark and scary.

I'll go with sims 4, I like the style of the game and how we build ans buy mode are one in the same now

personally i've never played in sunset valley in the sims 3 because when i bought the game i bought every expansion at the time and it was definitely my favourite of the goth houses, big lot, big house lots of design haha but it's easier for sure to build in the sims 4 haha

I think I like the Sims 4 interior the best, and the Sims 3 exterior the best.

The winner for me is the Sims 3 because is like a goth house but not too goth unlike the Sims 2 it's too plane and the Sims 4 it's goth but too goth so I chose the Sims 3

I loved the sims 3 goth house so much it was really big and the outside was really pretty

I know you're just using the camera, but I love how it looks like someones walking around XD

I love Sims 3 because of all that options you can make. Building house like you imagine customize material, colours on everything like you want. Even material with multiple ornaments was customizable to change colours on different spots. I remember how I've made a beds from metal and just can't stop laughing when my sim just bend over that metal sheet and cover him self under it. xDDD

I just realized how realistic is TS4 on this.

I love the sim goth houses especially the blood Red one very beautiful and fancy.

Enter the houses in bird mode and pretend to live there...

I used to play TS2 without the walls up ever, so i always played with a drywall.

Unpopular opinion, the sims 3 looks gross. Sims 2 has that homey vibe to it that only old players can get. But the Sims 4 is just so pleasing to look at.

I think the same. I really hate the look of Sims 3 except for the pets. And the sims themselves... oh god. The women always had such round faces and looked stupid... It was so hard for me to create decent looking sims

I completely agree, I've played every single one and sims 3 is trying to be realistic but it came out as uncanny. the visual of sims 4 is more stylized and pretty, like the improvement of the sims 2 and I like the animation details and the vintage vibes of the sims 2

I agree! The Sims in Sims 3 looked so weird and just the graphics in general were bad, some even worse than Sims 2. Sims 4 has personality and its graphics aren't recycled from older games, plus you can make beautiful sims and lots, the lighting is great too, and overall even though open world is a good concept, Sims 4 is still much better in my opinion.
