I have been a fan of Simply Red since their first album. Mick's voice is amazing. I'm 64 and I still dance like no one's watching whenever I listen to Simply Red.

Love this song , it is about 33 years old ,today is 3-3-23 and he is 30'yrs old when he sang this .

Simply Red live was an unforgettable experience. Mick had an ability to connect with the audience and he surrounded himself with wonderful musicians.

The lyrics are so on the nose. It's like The Smiths but with London's House jazz interloped within Mick's dulcet stylings. Mick was 30 here? I thought he was perhaps a teen when he started in the 80s. Shows that he ate to keep his sinuses clear and voice pristine, as much the same diets also keep one looking fresh. What a band.

@@owenhunt Yes agree, brilliant lyrics, brilliant band. Mick was born on 8th June 1960, Heitor in November 1960, this is a live recording in 1990. They both look amazing. 🤩😍

Heitor was still relatively new to the band after Sylvan left and Aziz was a tour guitarist. His Latin Rhythms really shone on the next album, though,

In 89/90 I would drive down the Merritt/WC Pkwy in CT at 100MPH with this song blasting. Good times and I am thankful that I didn't crash and kill myself or anyone else.....It still pumps me up and thankful that I am just sitting at home enjoying it.

Early simply red , the songs were very political , slamming the Tory party and the way they have and continue to screw the working class and poorer into the floor, a great message coming from humble background and a one parent family Mick knew exactly what it was to never have much and go without, which makes his success all the sweeter
