This album, back when it was released, reminds me of being stationed in Hawaii. My friend had a cabin cruiser that he took out on weekends. Some days we would anchor off Waikiki Beach. These songs remind me of the warm sun, breeze, slow movement of the boat, and my military friends.
Saw them at Leeds Polytechnic when they toured the debut and Mick apologised for having a bit of a sore throat but he was remarkable 👌🎤
I had forgotten how much I had loved and listened to this whole album over and over. Every song is great.
TRUE MUSIC + TRUE TALENT = *SIMPLY RED* !!! Thanks for share !
Simply red picture book the best
私の生涯の名盤。
Ma jeunesse.
Simply Red Picture Album fantasticoooooo 1985
I was 3 years old when this album was released. I finally started listening to Simply Red as an adult. It really touches my heart when I listen to it now. (from Japan)
This album is Simply Red's best Album. Every song reached Jazz Radio and was a Hit. His other Album had different band members so the sound was not the same.

Oh my god, this tape sounds incredible!... thanks for sharing this !
"I love the thought of coming home to you" came out when I was 5 years old. Pretty average brit song I thought. Its taken me until 33 years of age to finally be exposed to the amazing talent of Simply Red.
Great album, superb quality! Thank you ❤️ 😊
I certainly was not three when this album was released, yet it still sounds as fresh as it did when it was first released and I first heard it...Bisous T.
It took me a while to find this album, which I finally found on cassette in '93 after hearing 'A New Flame' in '89, my second favorite album. This was one of the bands that broke the 80's mold and sounded unique in its own right, inspiring the sound in artists like the female artist Joss Stone. I was only 28 when 'A New Flame' was released yet still find Simply Red fresh and contemporary today--good music for the car or a summer breese.
Fantastico album!!!
I brought this cassette too that's so great 👍
I heard this in 1983, I knew then Here was a Singer of such magnitude a groups that would stand the test on time - truly excellent...
