With Ex d, potential ignition sources are contained inside a sturdy enclosure, the surrounding environment is never in danger. Just about anything can be installed in such an enclosure. But the maintenance is very arduous. The solution: a combination of Ex d with an Ex e termination and control unit. The benefits of those Ex de solutions are demonstrated in the video, too.

i’m curious about the special line bushing between the Ex d and Ex e enclosures, it looks like cemented and not possible to replace the cable? appreciate your clarification.
