Having played around with this for a bit, it really helps to texture the materials before applying the cloth sim. Hope that saves someone some time :)

can you turn any mesh into cloth. I have modeld clothes and just want to pin them and then apply cloth and even do it to hair.

Hi, during the process my G8M figure (exported obj) sinks below the horizon. Have you got a tip for me, how to lock it in place while simplycloth is playing the simulation. thanks in advance.

How is Simply Cloth Pro in comparison to ClothWeaver? Any better? Seems like it has more control but I'm not sure, I am looking to invest in one of them and am trying to decide.

Don't suppose you could help. I installed the addon, and added the cloth library in the file paths in preferences. But I don't see any cloth library option whatsoever in the UI. Edit: I'm also not seeing those advanced parameters with merge options.

Hey, I just bought this and I'm having trouble with it. I installed it on Blender 4.1 and wondering if I have to downgrade my Blender? It won't show the library of clothing that comes with the addon. I'm not sure what it is I'm doing wrong, but it's only telling me to Select an Object to Start With Simply Cloth, then when I do (say with a basic plane) it doesn't bring up the library at all.

why it's full freezing for me ? i have a decent laptop and i do 3D stuff without problem except clothing, any idea what it can be ? when i start playing it's full freezing

I dont understand what he is doing when he is scultping the cloth, is that editing the physics of the fabric or changing the weight of it, Im confused

@@Markom3D the clothing after it's made isn't exactly pair to the model. I'm asking have you done anything about using it in a sim? Like if the character begins to walk the clothing will likely stay in the same place.

how to reuse the asset

good tutorial, but I can't stop my character from falling through the floor once I activate collisions on them.

This is a tough question. The price difference is pretty high and MD is specifically designed for clothes. SCP is a bit of extra work but it all depends what level you are trying to aim for.

My recommendation is to buy both garment tool and simply clothe pro. Garment tool allows you to create cloth patterns and sew it in non destructive and easy way so you can tweak the clothing as much as you want without frustration. Simply cloth will handle all the simulation part of cloth physics.

I just got the pro version and for some reason I don't know where to find the preset library for the clothes... Did I not install something? O.o

apparently the maker has to re-do it to work like that for blender 3, so you have to use an asset path, the page you buy it from has a video, to anyone who is also seeing this.

He makes it seem easy, but getting a shirt is already hard for me. I did the exact same thing as him, and it doesn't look nearly as good as his.

Gentlemen. If anyone has had problems with addon crashes, please tell us how you solved this problem. I have a program that constantly crashes when using clothes like shirts or jackets.

I just paid for this earlier. There is no library. I downloaded it and installed it through blender and it's even in the blender folder, but there's no way for me to access any of it from Blender. What gives?

Why would this be better than simply selecting the body mesh where a shirt would be, and making it a new object, scale it up a little, and use cloth tool? No tedious merging vertices or time wasting.

@Blob B With edge loop creases for sewing lines placed in it does. It's just the body mesh cut out and duplicated. Then throw a T shirt texture on it. Just another way to do it that doesn't involve the mess of physics. You can of course add physics to it if you want. I guess the down side is the topology being slightly different. So maybe it just depends on their needs.

How did you add the cloth library to the Addon menu? For me, i have to open a whole new viewport and go to an asset library path.. Edit: the maker of this plugin doesn't even have it like that in the installation video.. lol

The assets are not worth it, small number and you have to pay a ton of money to use them as commercial use, it's better the basic version and make your own.

It’s not at all amazing. Woth the new versions of blender, it’s like don’t having it. Payed 60€ for it and it doesn’t work. Better buying clo3d or marvelous
