Simplified Armature Diagrams Part 1 (2)

Ғылым және технология

Hi guys! I got another video about simplified versions of an armature diagram.
We all got that one experience when we were searching for diagrams and at first sight
we lose our motivation right? Well worry no more, like you, I love simple things
and this video is for you.
By the way, the diagrams used here are all made up, they serve as an example only.
I'll be releasing diagrams of power tools that we have repaired in the future so stay tuned.
Plus the wire used is not a wire, its actually a cotton string.
Also I forgot the model of the armature used or what kind of power tool it belong and the commutator and armature are already broken, its just for study.
Anyway, sometime in the future I will show you how to figure out the diagram of armatures.
Thanks again guys ;)

Nice explanations, great ! However, do you not consider any rotational (i.e. angular) offset between segment and slot ? How do we adjust them ? Thanks !

Great video! Many thanks! I have one question. I have right now one armature with the same slots as you have shown in the video. My question is: the wire that was used in my armature is very thin and i do have one which is thicker. Can i use it too? Like calculating the weight of the old and convert it to the new thicker one? Would it be the same?

My question is my armature had 16 turns in one slot so I have to wind 8-8 turn or 16 and 16 in one slot??

  • @JakeMarvinVillegas

Hallo there Hasan, it depends on your commutator segments. If its 32 and the number of turns u counted in one slot is 16 including the windings of the other side then it should be 4 turns because you have to do it twice. 4+4 from the other side, and 4+4 from the other also total 16. But if its a 16 segments commutator then 8 turns and only one windings per side.

@2:20 you choose the slot next to the commutator slot in front of the slot in armature but you rotated the wore and then winded at some other place place. @2:14 you first put the cable in slot in front of the commutator slot. Then wrapped it around.. What's the trick In it? I m stuck here

It is to make the wires neat and arrange, if i would just put it right where it should be it would block the way for the other connections sir

Great teaching. Thanks. I have following doubt. Pl.clarify. Pre winding coils. With 3 outlet terminals. Commutatur. Clnnectionr 1. 2 .3. 1st coil 3. 4. 5. 2nd 5. 6. 7. 3rd ........ 21. 22. 23. 11th coil 24. Slot. Left over. ???? We need 11 coil. But 12 slot Armature we can only put 6 coils in each slots. Can we put more than one coil in each slot ???? Pl. Clarify. Thanks

Hello sir thanks for watching. No sir the first outlet is for the half of the first coil, while the second and third outlet is for the second coil. When we loop around back to the 24 and 1 outlet it will complete the first half of the first coil. 1. Half of first coil 2.3. 2nd coil 4.5. 3rd coil 6.7. 4th coil 8.9. 5th 10.11. 6th 12.13. 7th 14.15. 8th 16.17. 9th 18.19. 10th 20.21. 11th 22.23. 12th 24. Another half of the first coil That completes the windings

  • @JakeMarvinVillegas

    @JakeMarvinVillegas

To easy remove it you need to make the epoxy brittle by burning the part where the wire and commutator touches.
