Excellent & easy to understand video! In your opinion, would this be too difficult to teach a 4th grade boys team?…unfortunately every team we play against plays a zone defense.

Having to teach a zone offense to kids that age can be tough. I don’t agree with teams playing zone at that age. Zone offense can take some patience. I think this offense is easy though and may help if you’re up to the challenge. Hope it goes well and good luck Coach.

Great video! Would you recommend this offense for a 5th/6th grade rec team? I know we have to keep things simple, but we also need some type of structure/rules for them to follow. Thanks!

The ability to shoot 3’s really makes this go. Stresses the defense to make decisions. You can do it with younger kids but I would encourage your guards to attack gaps.

You can you just have to change the front. You have to be in a 2-1-2 set. We just learned some new spacing that we use this year against off front defenses. It’s really good. Video about it will be out soon.

I’m my Zone offense I have the opposite big flash from block so each big is taking turns flashing forming an X. In this offense better to just keep the same big at the foul line?

I think it’s whatever fits your team best. If you have two players you like in the high post then sure flash them. Either way will work if you just maintain spacing and the other dives to the goal on the catch

Do you have any film on how you get your perimeter shooters involved in this offense??

Hi Coach, we believe that as we focus on getting the ball to the flank and the nail that it will create opportunities for the perimeter players. We typically get a ton of three point shots and shooting is something we focus on daily. At times we can run a quick hitter if we need to get some flow going. I will upload a zone offense play soon.
