💚Emerald. Thankyou for this. I lately have been struggling with loneliness, my husband's family has been unapproving and disappointed in our move to ND. It's weight is heavier than I thought. We are so happy and thriving here it was the move we needed. But letting go of hateful words has proved to be difficult but forced us to cling on harder to the word of God and peaceful channels like this and definitelyagree with romanticing the small things. Harsh words from family can be so painful, but the fact is, they should want what is best for you! They should want you to be where you are both happy and able to thrive. ​I start decorating for fall in August heat so I am ready when the weather turns the corner. I get warmed up for fall, no pun intended. I enjoy each season as I/ my family gets older I TRY not wish my life away by saying I wish the weekend was here or the next season. Time goes so fast. Emerald 🤗 Spring is my most favorite season then summer. Summer's may be hot, but so many great things happen during the summer. We get to watch our garden grow, we take buggy rides every evening around different dirt roads with 2 of our little ones. (The youngest 2 because they still think mom and dad are cool) picnics, fires, s'mores, grilling out, oh my goodness, there is so much more. Oh how I love summer! Being outside brings me so much joy. Evenings, watching the deer and other wildlife come out into our field's, all the sounds of summer. Seriously, i can go on and on about all the great things that we enjoy in summer. 😂😂

Emerald! 👒💚👒 I have always delighted in the change of each season but like you, summer is my least favorite. Last spring (2023) however, I switched to 100% linen 100% of the time and summer is so much easier now! I am linen from socks and undergarments to clothing and scarves. (85% of my linen has come from ThredUp. 😁 Not undergarments of course. 😂) My skin had always been sensitive to polyester, rayon, and elastines, but I honestly had no idea just how much of a difference it would make in my life! I have experienced the healing of skin issues, vein issues, and mysterious little lumps and the heat is completely bearable now. ❤

Emerald. Yes, summer can be tough. But finding the good in every day makes it so much easier. I used to fear summer and allergies etc, but have learnt to go with the flow and love every season as it is and as I am. 💚 Emerald 💚 Summer is the most difficult for me physically and as soon as the neighbors harvest the nextdoor field in late July, I start thinking of autumn. I can't imagine the challenges of a Northeast summer, I can barely handle a Northwest one. Farmerboy always made me hungry as a child and I still love a small evening bowl of popcorn as a tradition I started after first reading it.

Emerald. Have a blessed summer! Mornings and Evening are my favourite times during any summer day. It would be nice if we could bring the culture of taking a siesta to North America. It is the most rational thing to do during the heat of high noon.

I am right here with you on the summer thing. Hot and sweaty is not something I enjoy as much as the lovely cool stuff. I have not heard of Emerald or LevenRose. The vitamin C is something I will have to try. All of the lovely classics are of a simpler sort of time, and yet, there were very hard situations that had to be overcome on a daily basis. How to be a woman and how to view life. It gave me new perspectives. Sidenote: if the heat is to much invite some kids and make waterwar. Emerald - A beautiful, beautiful book that I have already read but would love to read again this summer is Ramona by Helen Hunt Jackson. The characters and plot are incredible--and loosely based on true happenings--but the thing that sticks with me most is the deeply observant and appreciative description of wild mustard growing along a meadow. I highly recommend!
