GotDamm I like Mike! He puts the right amount of energy into the talk that relays important important WITH undertones that says, "yes, you can do this too!" If you want people to believe, you have to do it with energy! Mike delivers!
Good point on 10’ MDF, I had forgotten it comes that long.
Brilliant, as always! Love it that your instructions are so detailed. Timely video for me, as we are making countertops for our build. Thank you again!
Mike, not only are you the epoxy master, you're also a master craftsman in general. And.. you said 'cattywompus ' Good stuff, thanks!
Mike, you are without a doubt, one of the best youtuber that exist, and a true artist, I love your videos, and I learn a lot with them, keep doing that great work !!!
Love your counter building series.👍🏾

So Many ideas, just by watching your video's. I will be using some of these in my house. Thank You!!!
I watch this like I'm ever going to do this! lol Y'all just make it all so interesting. At least, if I ever move and build a new area, I'll know what someone else should be doing. I do love these videos. 💖
Awesome content as usual from this amazing craftsman and entrepreneur!! If I lived in OR I can just about guarantee that we’d be fast friends and hanging out in the shop making projects. Really enjoying this series, so much fun and detailed! Thank you for putting this out, love it all!
like the use of the paper towel adds realism to it awesome!!!

Catawampus 😂 always enjoyed using that word not many people do. Thanks for your videos!
If you are adding to this series, can you explain and show process for using biscuits when seaming MDF together? What size to use according to your MDF thickness, What size router bit to use if you don’t have the fancy tool???. I can’t buy MDF longer than 8ft, so that = need for joining together. Thank you very much! You are all THE BEST!!
I really love what you guys do and really appreciate how you explain the process great to watch and learn
je ne me lasse jamais de le regarder travailler, tout est parfaitement fait à la perfection!!
thank you for the awesome tips
Charming!
Love this stuff,,,
I just made my first order of StoneCoat countertop!
that's the LOVELY one
thank you Mr. epoxy..
Pro tip ;) When gluing up large boards, put some weight in the center too. Clamps around the outside are all very well but sticking a honking great mass in the middle will help the glue do its job.
Awesome
I’m going to try and make a outdoor retail sign for our smoke shop!!!
I’ve be thinking and thinking what to make... the state piece is spot on!!! Small and easy to start. Ppl here in SC are big time state pride folks... adding college swag. I might reach out for what to buy. Video of her making that?
I’d love to see you break that little clip of the rock face edge (10-15 seconds) into a full video. I’m really liking that more subtle version. Would love to see a slower paced video to help me learn the nuances of doing that.
Love the videos and the results. I am updating kitchen and bathroom counters. The Kitchen has a laminate counter top where the back piece is integrated with the top- I don't want to cut it off if I don't have to... Can you show or discuss an installation where the back piece remains in place for the install?
V nice 👍
Hey Mike hows this template work on existing counters? I’m looking to fabricate at my work space then replace the existing counters. Hope I’m making sense. Thanks again !

We love you! Thank you so much for your support, what project would you like to see next?
Everything looks really good! But would be much more professional with dust management 😉
Can you make a video on how you made that saw guide.
Great stuff, Mike, especially so many 'pro tips!" What brand and model bisquit joiner are you using? Thanks!

Looked like Makita or Ryobi. Given the choice, buy Makita.
Why did you do a drop edge in addition to doubling the MDF?
Would have been nice to see the finished COUNTERTOP. Exact subject matter I was looking for.

Any tips, or maybe a video, of how someone might build countertops if they don’t have all the tools used in this video? Specifically tips to do corners?
Hi guys. I used to work with epoxy 29 years ago when I was 15 years old. At that time I was making aquariums for sale. How strong is the resin now? Do I need to treat the tabletop as a virgin in order not to scratch it ? If so, what do you recommend covering so that scratches do not appear? 😉. Thanks for the support !
If a route a roman ogee profile on the front of the countertop, will the epoxy will the epoxy keep the profile or fill it in?
Wappyjawed!! 🤣🤣
Can the Apoxsee be put on a plywood floor
What size and grade MDF are you using?
Hi! How do you epoxy a countertop that has rounded edges
What router bits do you use?
Texas
Ok so I bought 3/4 mdf. Is that thick enough for kitchen countertops? I've never done this before so I'm trying to watch all the right videos and learn how to do this. Thanks!

I just made 3/4 mdf countertops and I didn't double it up. It will bow if u have a big overhang but mine was small and didn't have any.
nice one my man
I use templates for EVERYTHING. Make a screw up in MDF before screwing up that expensive chunk of hardwood!
Question: can I put red guard on plywood?
The background music is a bit too loud, listen on headphones. Love your work.
What’s up everyone

Hey which video shows how you do the edges of the countertop with two pieces of MDF sandwiched together? To get the smooth look

He starts "sandwiching" them together at 6 minutes in. Take notes while watching this video. If you're going to D.I.Y., this particular video is THE ONE you want to see (repeatedly). ~K
Love the videos...Hate, hate the ads! They're getting much more frequent and annoying!
Can you router an existing formicia counter edge ? To get rid of the sharp edge

Does Redguard really keep water out of mdf over time for undermount sinks and dishwashers? Anyone have experience with this?

RedGard is a ready to use waterproofing and crack prevention membrane. Just roll it on and let it dry. The membrane dries quickly. -Nathan
What size are those MDF boards?
@Gwen.Hopper
4 жыл бұрын
They are 3/4" thick. Using 1" strips for "Drop-edge" and "Sandwiching them together" = an observed thickness of 1 1/2" thick countertops. This is the video you want to watch in full. ~K

Cheetos.. If I had a template, I could make Cheetos over and over and over again.... Not the puffy kind, the crunchy kind... Over and over and over... Of course, I would be forced to eat them over and over and over.. but I digress I love StoneCoatCountertops
Man, you do beautiful work, but PLEASE wear a respirator when you're cutting wood. We need you around a long time.
