Merry Christmas, everyone! In the spirit of the season, all merch of mine is going to be 15% off until New Years Day. The coupon code is "SMUDGE" because of the freaking smudge on the lens that is prevalent throughout this video that I didn't notice until editing started. Unfortunately, my Patreon is still full price at $1, but my Instagram (@fingerprintsworkshop) is free to follow.

It's a little late for free advice. When it comes to plastics like the seat belt buckles... your prep was great but heat is the key. Using a heat gun bring the plastic up to temperature... the exact temp isn't the same for different plastics but basically it shouldn't start deforming and you should still be able to touch it but only barely. Also boil water, pour the water into a large thermos and place the spray paint can into the thermos. The paint will spray in a finer mist with more consistent pressure. The pores in the plastic will be open to receive the paint, the paint needs to be warm as well so it doesn't instantly cool the plastic down. I usually start with the paint, then use the heat gun on the plastic... wipe off the water from the spray can before spraying so you don't accidentally dripping water onto the surface.

@@Buttermilkjug I'm beginning to wonder if your joking or not. I mean, anyone who does fact checking knows that a super small percentage of Fiero's actually caught on fire, and all 1984 models were recalled and repaired. And decapitation? What the hell are you talking about? Please elaborate. Certainty your not talking about the stupid myth about the hoods going through the windshield in the event of a front end collision. They had a system to make the hood crumple, as most cars do, and even if the hood did go through the windshield, by some means of a factory failure, it still has the same odds of any other vehicle to fail. They really are not as dangerous as any other vehicle. I mean, this IS the reason why the Fiero will never have a good reputation. It's because people like you spread false shit all over the internet, and people believe it.

I can't believe I spent another 40 minutes watching a KZread video. And honestly, enjoying almost all of it. The part I didn't enjoy is just because of my preference, and doesn't matter because they're not my videos and I don't pay to watch them so I don't get a voice there which is fine. I really appreciate how throughout this series you've showed your mistakes, and talked about those you haven't shown. I can't wait to see it completed, and wish you many happy years driving it. I would say it's motivated me to restore my car, but what you can do in a day would take me a week or more due to health problems. So, I will live vicariously through you in that regard. I vividly recall seeing a Fiero in my small town. I was doing my paper route, 14-15 years old (so, around 1985) - and I was floored! A Ferrari? Nope, it was a Fiero. Later, in high school, I worked at a dealership washing cars in the summer. I was working to buy my first car. A Fiero came in for sale. I was in love...until the salesmen told me to stay away. That was in 1991, and they told me they were junk. I ended up getting a 1986 Honda CRX (one of the best cars I've ever owned).

Figuring out which order to install internal door mechanisms is always a blast. An entire generation of people who put linoleum over hardwood floors was the perfect joke, by the way. That RV trim strip was a satisfying solution. So much progress! Really satisfying.

I read up on it though, and the vast majority of the “professional” car community doesn’t actually believe they’ll heavily increase in value anytime in the near future.
