I haven’t been doing this. I feel like I’ve just been reading the Bible to get it off of my to-do list or because I feel guilty when I don’t I haven’t been reading my Bible because I want to more so because I have to. Jesus please help me to WANT to read your word and to pray to you and to just be in your presence. God teach me to be like you more and more everyday. I repent of ALL of my sins that I’ve committed throughout the day and ask you to forgive me of all my sins. In Jesus mighty name I pray Amen.

The Lord loves your heartcry for a deeper walk with Him, and understands your struggle reading the Bible. There are many approaches to bible reading and maybe you need to find what is effective for you. I use a devotional each day. I may be drawn to read through an entire book. I often do word searches to get a broader picture. In the last 2 months, I have gone back to my physical bible and only use my phone for commentaries and devotions. If you are busy, plan out an hour in your week just to read and pray. Blessings to you.

Wow. Thank you for speaking in what's in my heart. I also have this guilt that I wasn't doing the proper devotion in reading the bible because I feel like I am doing it just for the sake of routine and yet my heart still feel lost. Good thing God is so good and never fail to remind me that I just need to open my heart because He has always been there talking to me. God really loves us, right? 🤗

I needed this 💛throughout summer Ive been soo focused in having a strict routine that reading the word became just a thing in my to do list. Ive lost interest in praying or reading the word but once I start praying and reading the word all of that goes away and I actually enjoy it , I need to work on reading the word because I want to learn about God 💛

It’s crazy that I didn’t have enough time with God throughout this semester and I have tried to make time for Him. I went through a season of having a hard time listening to God’s voice and focus on Him alone. Although I am still struggling, I am learning how to allow Jesus to teach me. This was a reminder to me that when I do my quiet time, I feel like I’m sitting down and letting Jesus be my Teacher, teaching me the Scripture.

im so proud of myself! this morning i feel like i spent so much time with God i read my bible 2 times for 15 minutes, wrote in my prayer journal, and meditated to Gods word.

I have been more focused on making myself into a better believer than actually reading my Bible in simplicity with an open heart before you. I have been relying on myself to make me into that person, when I should have been trusting in You to do that for me. Because only You can increase my faith and make me into a child of the Most High. Girls, you don't know how I needed this video. God speak to me through this word about Martha and Mary every time I read it and it convicts me too. I've been feeling the same about just getting simple with God sometimes and it's beautiful because it's about being real also. I want to be real with God and with people. Sometimes doing too much is like a mask, that's what I feel about me when I focus in other things like college, responsabilities and even church and serving in so many things because I tend to forget that my most important thing is Jesus and having a relationship with him. Not because I have to, but because I want to. This days I just didn't know what to do about my "fail" quiet times with God but once again is not about what I do or what I have done, it's about what's his going to do in my heart. It's about him and I decide to trust him.

It was 12:00 am in India, while you premiered this vid. I love all your morning routines , as it encourages Christian girls to search God early in the morning. Please pray for India, as our country is undergoing too many hardships. We have no enough oxygen, vaccines and medicines to defend ourselves from this virus. Thousands of people are passing away each day and millions are being affected. I request y'all to pray for us🙏🙏🙏

Yes 🙌🏻 I’m in a season of being busy momma of three and I don’t get much uninterrupted time to read study pray I find myself struggling and aggravated and missing having that time . I’m learning short simple times quiets is ok too

Yes! When raising my 3, I found keeping a Bible within my sight but out of reach of littles was the way I was able to have my time with my Lord and Savior. I had my Bible on the kitchen counter or in the middle of the dining room table. God bless you!🙏

Hey! I think the book Satisfy my Thirsty Soul by Linda Dillow could be very helpful to you regarding your situation! It explains how to prioritize quiet time with God amidst and busy life!❤️

Hey ladies. I absolutely love that you make these videos and reach so many people. You and Taylor have a natural teacher inside yourselves. Your videos are well researched and well thought out and executed beautifully. I have followed your videos during your missions and you have a real connection to these children and I also see you doing seminars that really reach out and make a difference to young woman. I am a teacher myself so I can spot a natural teacher in you young ladies. I have a severely disabled child and the disabled community are often overlooked in the religious community. Especially Austistic children. These families who need support and love from God’s word often feel disconnected form the church and god because their children can be disruptive in church during a sermon but not in a dangerous way. However parents often feel that they will place a burden on others and so they stay home and do Bible study alone robbing the themselves from gods love and robbing the community to meet some of gods greatest people. Disabled kids often stand up when they shouldn’t and flap their arms and sing and laugh all at the wrong times during a sermon. As awareness grows people in the community have adapted by having special autism events and days to go do things like watch a movie and the organizers realize that it looks like a wild circus show of happy flappy kids taking in their own secret language running and jumping and having a blast. Some other companies have these event days too. But not many of these children get to do this in the church. families with disabled children have been on their knees many times taking to God but I am sure they would love to know a way to actually go to church and be included. This may sound crazy but I think because you are such good teachers and missionaries that you could tackle a project that may not be talked about so much in the community but could be. How do we disciple these kids and their families. How do we let them into the fold? How can they be accommodated and included? This could make a great thesis project at moody. There may not even be any info on it . A pioneer project And honestly I think you two girls and your lovely roommates could get a project or program off the ground or at least research disability inclusion in church and get people talking about it. Working with disabled children and adults is the closest you will ever get on earth to feeling like you are with angels from god. Pure love. Just think about it. I so needed this video!!! I have recently started a new job and I've have been so busy, that honestly my quiet time has been out of obligation, and it opened the door for distraction. Then I feel quilts and condemned when I "dont do enough." This video has helped me to remember that my quiet time is to draw close to the Lord and that doesn't always mean craming as much as possible into my quiet time. Simply being with Jesus and allowing myself to be filled, that is what matters. So thank you.
