J'ai donné cette chanson à mes élèves anglophonnes du secondaire qui n'aiment pas le français. Ils ont adoré la chanson. J'étais fière de leur réaction. Ils chantaient dans le couloir. I gave this song to my english high school students who hates french, they loved it! I was proud of their reaction! They were singing it in the hallway!

I'm split. I like Marie's voice in the body of the song. It's a bit darker and "sultrier" than Natahsa's. But I like Natasha's counter harmonies in the chorus better, particularly in the ending of the sound.

J'avais l'habitude d'écouter cette chanson quand j'étais au collège sans imaginer qu'un jour viendrait mon tour d'être Marie Mai. J'habite à Madagascar et mon petit copain à Seoul et cette chanson ne décrit que trop bien notre situation.

Honnetement, cette chanson sonne mieux en francais qu'en anglais. le francais est une belle langue!!

Par contre j'ai l'impression que les canadiens francophones sont en train de perdre petit à petit leur français (j'entends plein d'expressions du genre "c'est chill" , "eh dude" , ou bien à Montréal quand les commerçants te disent "Hi , bonjour !"). En France, on essaie de mettre de l'anglais partout aussi, mais on ne saura jamais le prononcer correctement.

Et ça a pas rapport que vous prononciez les mots anglais à la française, ça reste des mots anglais que vous incorporez à votre language et vous le faisez autant que nous ^^" Une des raisons pourquoi je préfère la version anglaise est parce que la version française coupe souvent.

Ahhhhhh, I’ve connected the dots now. In elementary school back in 2012 I remember my French teacher making us all memorize this song, at least that’s how I remembered it. But when I googled this song after a few years, it was all English. It didn’t matter much to me cuz it still slapped, but now that I’ve found this I remember that there was a different French and English version. Really took me 8 years to figure this out 🤦‍♂️

Moui, bon, j'aime bien cette chanson mais il ne faut pas pousser non plus. Le texte parle juste d'une relation à distance, il n'y a pas de sous-texte ou de tournure de phrases permettant de la qualifier de "profonde".

Pierre and Marie-Mai are amazing singers, Marie-Mai is great live on stage, she gives a wonderful show!! On t'aime Marie!

I am stunned that it’s been 10 years since jet lag came out I remember singing this version on my iPod with with my headphones in 11th grade, my mom passed away in 2010 so any simple plan song I could get my ears to hear really helped me through those days and they still help me 12 years later ❤️❤️

i've never heard this version of the song before just from their album and one of the live concerts, but it totally makes since that it wouldn't be all in english -- it's just when they started speaking french it threw me for a loop for a second

Back in sixth grade, my favourite French teacher showed us this song. He looked striking similar to the main guy in this song. I miss him so much, he was a wonderful teacher but left to go work in the government. I listen to this song and it reminds me of my childhood. It’s full of wonderful memories ^_^

I just remembered this song after seeing their cover for "What's New Scooby-Doo" I listened to the English version and I was like this doesn't feel right. Only got the chills for the chorus. Then I noticed another version and this was it! I don't even speak French but this version is way better! Can't believe it is 9 years old! Love the nostalgia it brings.
