Hi thank you for your recipe. Please what do you put as a preservative because you added milk and what is the SL you mentioned to make the soap harder, i am learning to start working in making soap but i still don't understand how can you add milk to a recipe and have a long shelf life?

I neither use SL in my formulations. I just follow the ratio 60% solid oils and butters / 40% liquid oils to have a pretty hard soap bar

Hi, you calculate the discount on water of the oat milk you add to your oils don’t you? Do you use sodium Lactate to help hardening the soap?

@@bonsabon.soap.studio mine to! I bought a personalized stamp, and the soaps i have are cured and are so hard that i can’t stamp it! Even whetning a bit. O Guess that if soap makers use the soapcalc and a good mix of soften and hard oils, the bars turn hard and with good leather without the need of SL or Lauril.

I use soapcalc for all my formulations and I try to have this proportion 60:40 ( 60% hard oils and butters and 40% liquid oils) I have no problem to stamp my bars and they are pretty hard at the same time .

Hi , I mix lay powder with distilled water according to the receipt that I run is Soapcalc application. Usually the ratio is 1:3 ( 1 part of lay to 3 parts of water) and I let it cool to +/- 90F°
