Yes it will work with any diodes including LED. But Diac is an AC diode, it must be used for just an AC

a small silicon diode operating at its rated currents, the voltage drop is about 0.6 to 0.7 volts. The value is different for other diode types-Schottky diodes can be rated as low as 0.2 V, germanium diodes 0.25 to 0.3 V, and red or blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs) can have values of 1.4 V and 4.0 V respectively.

U need to use a diode with higher current because 1n4007 can handle up to 1.2 amps

Use ohms law , that depends upon ur supply so V=IR where V is voltage I is current nd R is resistance. So that's how you can use actual and accurate resistance😉

Try V= IR R= V/I and measure Vf. In easy way, you should choose thin wires, R= V/πrd

Sir,👏👏...worked like a charm. I turned a 6-AA battery powered sensor touch trash can into lithium powered with bms to charge when voltage drops. Now to see how long it will last. The set up I tried before this, was a buck converter. It only lasted for 7 hours!! Not sure why. Thanks again
