shame derek never stayed as this was there best album for years,,,,they found themselves again on this album and for some reason the singles never got air-play

Are you crazy ? It's a fucking awful album there's about 3 decent tracks on it. They didn't get back on track and release a consistently decent album until graffity soul.

Certainly not a great album at all. Average at best and it was after Cry the least successful album by SM.

The singles didn't get airplay because they're bloody awful. Glitterball is drab, tuneless, boring, atrocious.

Where's the piano guy? He was a huge part of the band. Mick something? With him they were a great band, it's sad this band could become great again.

He left in 1990 because Jim and Charlie wouldn't take a break after the street fighting years tour. Mick wanted to take a year out as they had constantly being recording albums and touring for 12 years at that point A reasonable request I think. If Jim and Charlie weren't so pig headed and stubborn he would probably still be in Simple minds and we can only imagine the great songs he would have helped them make instead of shit like Neapolis and our secrets are the same. They have made somewhat of a return to form with their last three albums but he would have took those albums to whole other level.

Why is Jim Kerr wearing his pyjamas in the interview ?

The decline was complete.. a shame ..still love em but this album particularly is a mess
