Can you make a video showing just how to add the on/off power switch? If you could include the link to the switch or any items needed, that would be amazing.🙏🏾 Thanks

I added the link to the switch I used to the video description. About a separate video 'How to add the switch'. Wasn't that what I just showed in this video? What's the question/problem? Maybe I can do a short 'dismantling a switch' video to show what's inside... 🤔

@@labcat73Thanks so much for the link. Yes, your video did install the battery, but it sped through how the wires were soldered and connected between the battery, switch and Heltec module, which is what I was hoping to see. However, I found a pic of a diagram, so that should be enough. Thanks again for your videos, which help us newbies so much.

@RitaH247 No problem! I’ll keep the beginners in mind for the next video. It’s straight forward: With an original connector it is Black to Minus and Red to Plus of the battery. The switch can be put in between battery and Heltec using either the red or the black wire. It doesn’t matter.

Nice man, how do you know where to solder the points for the modules and do you have to edit any code on the system with it being connected to a pc?

I have not tried this yet, but I think I saw an external notification module/plugin in the Meshtastic app somewhere. I guess you just define a spare GPIO pin there. If you need a transistor to drive an external speaker/buzzer or if you can directly connect a tiny piezo speaker I do not know. Maybe somebody else can comment?!
