I'm basically the opposite, I live in Arizona US and it gets HOT here. So I come "alive" in Autumn and Winter. I need cold to function. I love your sun shirt. It just turned to Monsoon season (storm season), I practice storm magick so I'm extremely excited.

I'm starting off my Solstice with a tea and a sunrise from my backyard. I've been cleaning my house and opening up the windows, releasing some stagnant energy and being in that new energy the morning of is the perfect way to start the day! I live in the high desert/mountains and can see the peaks from the backyard, we've had a lot of rain and everything is currently green and rich in color at the moment. It's going to be a great season! Happy Litha!!

I'm feeling blessed to enjoy the occasional, brief, sunbreak here in SW Washington state. This has been the coldest, wettest June on record. So the most abundant natural blessings right now are mud & slugs. It is predicted to become sunny & warmer by the weekend. Thank you Summer 💚

Isn't it the strangest June ever? My family has been in Washington since the late 1700s and I've been here my whole life, almost 60 years. I do not remember a June like this. They say climate change is just part of nature but nothing ever happens this quickly except for giant meteors. When you see it change quickly in your lifetime. I guess it's a little disturbing to me. Anyway hello fellow Washington inhabitr. I wish you the best Solstice and we'll cross our fingers on the weather. I'm keeping it as simple as possible though I'm feeling the pressure of we only get so many summers in a lifetime, so many Gardens. Which I have none of this year. Well wishes!

@@gomezaddams6470 I've finally gotten baby chicks & ducklings out of my master bath shower. I hang a heat lamp & keep the babies safe from the weather & predators too. Gardening has been a challenge. Rhubarb is growing gangbusters, but it's been rather chilly for the orchard & honey bees: not sure how the orchard will fare. Hoping our year mellows out. Solstice blessings to you as well.

i just wanted to say thank you so much for mentioning newgrange- it’s not talked about a lot, and my grandmother worked there for 40 years! she passed in december. i’ve been thinking of her a lot this solstice, because we used to watch the livestream when they did it and visit it every year. hearing you mention it made me feel like she was with me again for a moment💛🧡💛 blessed litha to everyone!

Blessed Litha, Hearth and CONGRATULATIONS on receiving your 100, 000 play button, and your continued success. I am an old school, from back-in-day "Hearthen" and I have enjoyed growing my craft in concert with you and what you've built. Between your original content and the library of resources you've assembled. Sadly, in December, I had my foot amputated (got septicemia from an infant raccoon I was rehabbing. Infection spread to bone, ending in osteomyalitis) Having one leg is putting a serious damper on my mobility and eliminating completely my beloved foraging aspect of my craft, not to mention my Sabbating & Esbating. I feel as if I am merely viewing my craft and not like I am engaged in it. It has afforded me more time for studying the craft. Do you have suggestions or resources on what to do until I get my prothesis (5 to 9 mos.) or realistically next Litha? Sorry this so long, love. BUT I just admire you so very much and you have inspired me somany times Blessed be.

Hey, I don't have prosthesis but I do have a cane due to mobility issues and for days that I can I will simply sit under a tree not too far away from my home so I can bring a chair with me. If I can't go outside though I have a designated spot I can get to inside easily where I can view nature and get some sunlight. I find those two things help and I hope they help you too with connecting on a day like this Edit to add: also when I'm doing these I'm doing active meditation through reading something I think is important to read that day. Whether it's a story to make me smile and laugh or a poem to make me think about things I've been hiding from

Thank you so much forgiving the idea of permission to keep things simple. It's not that I do not want to go all out. But I'm not capable this year. I am capable of driving to a somewhat natural place where the sun will be if it's there. Even if it's raining there saltwater and there's bright light. I can go to the edge and look for a little charge stones that mean something to me. I can surround a candle like you described with them. It is your Solstice now because you are ahead of us. I think we're literally 12 hours apart and it is 2:39 p.m. the 20th. Have a blessed day. Then and always!

I wear my orange slice earrings. I drink alot of lemonade and eat sunflower seeds this time of year. I also make sure to rotate my house plants so they absorb a healthy amount of the solar energy. I like to hide crystals in my plants. I dry citrus fruit peels and flowers. I live very close to a lake and i collect the sand and shells from the beach to use later in my workings.

i love solar energy (and i feel a greater pull to the sun than the moon, which is ironic since i connect so strongly with moths and nocturnal animals), but summer here gets over 100°F with 80% humidity, and being outside is unbearable. i get seasonal depression during summer, so i usually feel unable to celebrate most summer sabbats the way i would like. i love low effort ways of practicing and celebrating that can be helpful for spoonie witches and/or disabled witches

Thank you for the oracle/tarot spread idea! I am just getting into divination cards. I chose an oracle card for each of the four elements representing areas of my current life and then drew 4 tarot cards for each one as you did.Lots of good info there. I also went to a nearby park with a river and made a small offering of flower petals and birdseed to give thanks and rememberance for my brother who passed away suddenly last week. It was very peaceful and wonderful.

I’m going to take about a 35-40 min drive to the hiking trails I used to frequent when I lived near them. I’ll just spend some time enjoying the sights and maybe try to forage some useful plants, though they may be tough to find. And I’ll harvest lavender from my HUGE lavender plant growing in my garden and make a smudge bundle. Maybe I’ll put out some crystals to charge as well. I’ll definitely be wearing some gold jewelry!

I hope you have a wonderful Litha! I am Phoenix, Arizona so I am just grateful the shorter days are starting once again…we have the opposite problem from the UK…too much sun. Hehe 😜

It is also very hot here in Fort Worth, Texas. I prefer the cooler part of the year.

This year our family was invited to join some of my Wife's relatives from Sweden to partake in midsummer so we also invited them to join us today for a summer celebration at a near by state park. I hope our trading traditions goes well. I hope your summer solstice is filled with wonder.

Wife and i make a very big bonfire in our yard at noon. At night we have our fire place going, even if the weather is hot.

when i was beginning to put crystals out to charge under the moonlight i use to leave them out all night, which was TERRIBLE because i didn’t realise that my amethyst would react, so it’s a shame now that mine is a more grey purple but it’s still very beautiful, i try to just leave them out for a few hours now

I buy a yellow helium balloon, write thanks and wishes on it with a gold sharpie pen, sit in the sun and feel it’s warmth on my face and body. Then release the balloon to travel towards the sun. I watch it as long as I can then lay in the sun until I am ready to go home.

I work from home for a call center and have been stuck working so I've been having breakfast and lunch with my dog in the garden over the past few days, my sun friendly crystals are charging and I've got a jar of water sitting in the sun while I'm working
