Simple inverter 3.7V to 220V
hi friends in this video I will make a simple inverter using 5 volt charger . i'm using the transformer from the broken charger . to increase the voltage from 3.7 volt to 220 volt . this is a simple self oscillating inverter its very simple you just need only 3 components transformer, 470 ohm resistor ,and transistor . I'm using npn transistor TIP41 other transistor will work like 13003 or 13005 but hey will give half of the power . this circuit doesn't have any output regulations so the output voltage depends on the output load . you can glow 3W to 20W Led light bulbs . but the out put frequency is very high so . some light may not work

Is this really pure sine wave output? Does it work in other appliances too?

No its Square wave, you can use it to glow lightbulb when there is no electricity, or change phone (400V AC capacitor recommended at output)

You can use any 5W phone charger of 10-15W Light bulbs, There is a Bridge rectifier inside , it converts Square wave to DC Voltage, and yes you are right it doesn't work on everything
It's working. But when I put 12 watt led. The light dimm . What can I do ? To speed the light my requirements is 12 watt led 220 volt

Try using Bigger Transformer Or 2 Transistor may increase the output current

Ok I will try with 12 volt 2 amp transformer. I mean this little chopper smps. In addition I will connect tip 41 in parallel. Each tip 41 is 5 amp.
