"Alexa! Be quiet!" Haha! Excellent results, Giles. Certainly opens up options for getting a proper metalized finish on an item, or part of an item. Very impressive. Thank you for sharing that.

Man that is impressive. Been trying for days without anything looking as good. Still on it. Cheers 🥂

Excellent. I've been looking at electroplating videos, particularly for PLA. Very useful. Thank you.

Hi there just a suggestion would be to have the copper plates in a V to have the ferthest part of the model closer to the electrode to compensate for the resistance of the carbon pant to get an more even plating

Fascinating, looks like a good result 😁😁

Thanks so much! This is awesome. :)

That is most impressive. Did the plating have much impact on the layer lines? Now I'm wondering if I could 3D print some track in 16mm and electroplate the rail surface!

Not very much - which is good, as I don't want to lose definition. The problem with plating track might be that the wheels wear through the plating?

I'll try the exact same conductive paint you are using. Because it did not work with the super expensive paints I used so far :(

Does it matter the gauge of copper wire?

Could something like Copper Tube Strap work instead of anodes?

Could you do this same process with a brush plating wand as opposed to dunking the part?

In principle, yes - just make sure the carbon is burnished so that it conducts well!

Hi! Did you use primer or did the paint go straight onto the figure?

The carbon paint goes straight onto the plastic.
