Saw it before, worth a second look!
Curtis your a boss ! keep up the good work
He's probably going to want another fan and louver to move that air a lot faster. I have a larger single fan on a much shorter greenhouse and it really doesn't do what I had expected. If you or he does the math, you'll see what I mean. Sure, it'll help a little, but so much more with more air circulation from outside. LOVE the automated side curtains.
very cool setup
Thanks
You could implement a lot of interesting automation with a Raspberry Pi and a relay board using the Node Red software. Very cost effective and easy to work with.

Yes the raspi is waaay powerful. Even the 0w whould be better
good job
No, the R value for "air blanket" is not large enough. Check our "soap bubble blanket" idea from Richard Nelson. We have so far produced one we call PyraTENT, allowing any handyperson to build one in backyard.
Spot on set up, next time you're there maybe suggest that his thermo stat can be moved up and down the board a few inches at a time just to sit at the same hieght as the plants height. 👍

Boom! Plant canopy temps differ from plant to plant, crawl around and look at those greens you'll notice the difference in temp
thats very cool
Off topic quesiton, what are the clamps used to hold the 2x4 framing to the bows? I'm getting ready to redo my green house and those would be super handy.
A link to his system would be cool Curtis
wassup curtis... big fan for a while... what camera are u using nowadays.. videos always look crispy.. thanks and appreciate ALL the content.. Bless
Good day Curtis. Quick question, where did they source their greenhouse frame structure?
What about Solex panels. Better protectant and diffuses light? You have a great setup though!
Good Idea. I want to Subscribe.
Is (inside house) 216 square feet enough space to do a Microgreen business? do you have to wash the greens after harvest, where would I put washing and drying station? and then the walk-in cooler? or should I just build a green house outside and start from there? all these questions are stopping me from even starting it. sorry if this isnt the place to ask this, but everywhere else i have asked get no response. tyia
Great video thanks. Can someone please explain to me the placement of fans to create circular flow he briefly mentions at the end? How and where and direction, to place them to achieve the desired airflow?

@@wolfbirdhomestead600 thank you so much!
Which motor you have used for wrapping the sheet
The controls would greatly benefit from a PID loop or a PI loop.

'Simple and cheap greenhouse"
I would love to see how this setup could be downsized to be as inexpensive as possible for East Texas
Can I find out where he got the roll up side stuff?
hello ı nead a help. Which motor you have used for wrapping the sheet. Please
What brand and model exhaust fan are you using?
I use a system similar to this but it has two other inputs. A timer that you can adjust how often it will check the temperature and respond. The other controls how wide the sides will open or close per check. In Canada, on a real sunny day when it is minus 20 Celsius outside, it could get upwards of 35 Celsius in the greenhouse, so you cannot afford the sides to open wide, and not for long. I think this controller with two motors was around 1500.00 Canadian.

Marko from Rovišće?
How do you get 80 degrees when it’s 100 out side?….with out an hvac unit….
Should've pointed out that you need two motors per side to get them rolled up straight. Nice job on those sides👌
@damienodonnell1304

You really don't need two motors - You can use a metal wire rope on the opposite end to the motor. Screw it to the bottom, then up and around the 'pole' many times so that it can open and close completely - then up to the top and attach. This will keep it straight.
what's the brand of the thermostat ?

Do you know who provides dis type of motors and fans in Europe?
Dont take long to cook everything on a hot day
Why not just heat activated wax trigger skylights. A hell of a lot cheaper than those motors and no electricity needed.
you just talked. I wish you made some more visual video
👍👍👍👏👏👏
turkish lyrıch please
Opening the greenhouse would let the bugs inside.
a thousand bucks still seems a lot for an automatic greenhouse window opener. you can buy small ones for around $30

Getting ready to do the automatic opener. What did you find for 30 bucks?
Not to be a buzzkill... but I sure hope he isn't growing on those table beds... the NRCS program is direct soil planting only.... I only have a year left on the grant for mine :)

100% correct. It all comes down to them finding out. I don't know any states that drive around checking compliance for low dollar things like hightunnels. Now, if he signs up for other stuff in the future, the planner SHOULD be checking items still in lifespan and if they are not in place or being used according to rules, he would be ineligible for signing up that year, and possibly longer.
Nothing much to learn, only a demonstration!
Its definately easier to do the power first lights etc then put plants in
