Simple camp cooking, Slow Roast, portable 12 volt oven, amazing juicy roast beef whilst traveling

A quick clip of how I use my Jaycar 12v oven to cook a simple slow cooked roast whilst traveling . More than just a pie warmer these little beauties can turn out a succulent meal quite easily.

You’ll love it. I’ve noticed there seems to be two different styles of latches on these. The latch exactly the same as this one seems to be on the ones that run 10c hotter than the bcf type ones. Just add half hour cook time for those ones. Let me know how you go

Hey Mr Troopyman, a suggestion for your roasts. Try putting a Continental cup a soup in the bag for flavour, pepper steak and mushroom is a good one, plus it thickens the juices.

I’ll give that a go sometime, I’ve used French onion soup on steak in there before which was good. Thanks for the tip 👍🏻

That is great mate - thank you for that. Also noticed you have a Coleman duel fuel stove - I’m looking at getting one but wonder if you can smell the petrol in your troops?

G’day , glad you enjoyed it. With the dual fuel one I have it stored between my mattress and drawers in current setup and move it onto front seat of a night for sleeping. Can’t smell a hint of fuel at all, I travel with it about 3/4 full or so and I use a small 600mm double walled bottle for spare fuel in drawers. It looks like one of those hot/cold drink containers you can get from supermarket or camping stores. I’ve so far traveled almost 5,000klm on some crappy roads like this and I’m very pleased with it. Hope you like the rest of my vids and subscribed mate ✌🏻
